Elegance

The main staircase was quite impressive.

~Mr. Motts you are so amazing with you talent....I have said it before...someday when I grow up I want to take pictures like you!~
great shot!
Fantastic shot!!
that's what the staircase in my house looks like!
J/K I wish ; -)
At least what it would have looked like back in the day, of course not now, as it crumbles to the ground.
Wallpaper perhaps? i LOVE staircases like this
Awesome shot.
Oh, I can just imagine what it looked like back then.
Oh god oh god how can I pick a favourite....

I think this is the ONE. Stunning Motts!
Another time, I agree with Jude :-)
The stair risers look like marble and the ironwork is just exquisite -- check out the detail. Great shot!
This screams "wall paper." Wonderful shot, Motts. :-)
To put this shot into word would tarnish the image. There are now words out there for the detail of this shot.

Wallpaper Motts!
Wow.

I kinda like how the light made one side of the staircase look blue.
Holy COW!!!!! That is totally AMAZING! The railing....the archway....the lighting...the doorway!!!
**applauds....
Such talent ! Boy you're good!!
I like the detail on the railings. That would be worth some good money.
AWESOME !
The stair case was the focal point of this room when it was designed I am sure.
I would love to have been there to see it in person
*jaw drops*

Oh my god... FABULOUS!!! This is the proof that the government is legally insane to have this place slated for demolition!
omg another fab staircase shot!
That door, it speaks out "Welcome foolish mortals....muhahahahhahaha!!!"

Stil, Awesome shot
One of your best shots old fellow
Oh, lovley stairs.
when things are imperfect I think the beauty is more satisfying.
This picture is just SO amazing!
Motts~ You are able to capture so much in just one picture!
From the beautiful design of the staircase with their shades of blue and grey that lead down to the arched entrance to them.
The small tease of decorative diamond tiles laying at the foot of them.
Then to the door with such an equally and beautiful design.
It appears to have rays of sunlight opening it , welcoming others to come in.
Definately one of my favorites! : )
WOW! thats relli interestin id love to go n visit.
Looks like a place for the next Myst game...
Damn..you are too good.
this shot does the staircase justice!
I bet this was something to see when it was a brand new building....reminds me of the shot in gone with the wind when scarlet arrives at ashley's mansion for the bbq and she walks in and he's coming down the stairs...beautiful!!!!!
Great catch - these are the ones that make the effort worth it
beautiful, the older the violyn the sweeter the music,i can feel it`s history
all i can say is "oh, my gosh!" this is so beautiful
This would make a great cover for a book of your photographs. The different shades of the staircases and their elegant banisters are such a great contrast to the wretchedness of the foyer. And the open door just invites someone to take a journey with you into the ruins of a once-elegant era. This picture is like the perfect introduction to photographing abandoned places. :-)
Sort of "Come with me, this is what awaits you..."
this shot is amazing... could you imagine having been here when it was in full bloom, so to speak, then to come to it now? wow..
This is similar to a starcase i helped enovate in the Parke Davis Building in Detroit, but this staircase is breathtaking. Awesome shot Motts!
OMG.....there aren't even words to describe this one.......truly AMAZING! What a gift.......
yo do you have a girlfriend?!
I'll have to use the words I used before ;
alotofworkwentintothatdoeshaveamiddleeasternlilt.

to think people once asended and desended those stairs as a matter of fact.
Wow O_o
I love stair cases, this is such an amazing picture. Makes me want to be on that stair case!
