yay first to comment a pic it kinda looks like its smoldering or something with all the overgrowth
I dont know how to describe this pic, i'm speechless. I'd love to see this as a wallpaper as well!
More gorgeous IR work Motts!
When you use infared, it is soul striking Motts!
looks like a bomb just went off!
The trees kinda look like clouds of dust... Great picture. ^.^
All I can think is a sandcastle being swept away by the wind....
That shot is too cool Motts...
Damn, this would be the wallpaper of dreams... please? :-)
WALLPAPER!
I second the cry! WALLPAPER!!!
Reminds me of the old crystal growing kits from the mid 90's. Gorgeous picture as well.
How do you do the subtle blue color tones? When I take color IR, it's red not blue. You do a color shift?
I can't speak for him... but he did show us a raw infared image before he altered it here:

Yes, sometimes I swap the channels and shift the hue. I find it takes some experimenting for each digital IR shot, as a set process doesn't consistently produce good results...
it looks like a bomb or summinc
It almost looks like its frozen in the act of collapsing into dust! Wallpaper please!
even though it`s partly hidden,it feels like it has a strong powerful soul,i love it !!!!!!!!
I love how the only thing that doesn't seem to be distorted is the "door" just left and slightly down from the center. With the rest of the shot distorted, it looks like some odd inter-dimensional gateway.
crumbling in a cloud of dust. awesome!
This is gorgeous - puts me in mind of some of the first colored photographs (from the French, I believe) from World War I.
its so nice and overwhelming
its' gone...I do like the chimney.
Tres joli, mais triste.
