That is just detail you never see in newer buildings. Such a shame.
Because no one has that kind of time anymore...
Oh my..
Wow!
Double Wow!
Such a pretty shot Motts!
Very lovely.
Pretty patterns I'm glad this part didn't get destroyed or vandalized it's a real privilege to see :D

The company I worked for built houses and we had a subcontractor that does mosaic designs for us now and then on walls and floors. Their stuff stinks compared to this. Now you can get the mosaic tiles in sheets, just plop them down and smear the grout over them. This stuff would have been all hand set. AMAZING!
ok now I have rambled, on with the tour.
Um....I might burst a bubble here but, if you look closly at the tiles and the arrangement, they are exaxtly the same in each bolck. The tile bits are the same shape and placed exactly identical. I think they are pre-fabricated. :-(
i'm with C-Note on this one...
Ah well, its still really pretty...but upon further examination I think their right. I think we can allow them one short cut huh?
Again and again I'm surprised by the beauty of this place! How could anyone wish it to be destroyed?
What is C-Note talking about? Sometimes I don't get what she is saying you know!
they dont do that kind of work anymore! awsome tiles!
wow to think that way way long ago this used to be someones home.......now thats living the good life............
I'm amazed that a building like this can be left for "dead".
I love your angles Motts! They add such a nice feel to your photos!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous and forever preserved (at least in our minds) thanks to your photography....
Does have a sort of middle-east lilt to it.
nice mosaic!
This shot kinda reminds me of the balcony at Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC.
I feel like i should be all done up in a sping gown with a corset, watching the groundskeeper groom the labyrinth junipers while I sip at a cup of earl grey and wonder if the weather is good enough for a ride on my horse.
