This is one of the few corridors that actually cut through the building to easily access the other side. The word up above the entrance reads "Anvers" (Antwerp), which is part of a few plaques situated along the building; I believe they read "LA LYS - LIEGE - STADENBERG - ANVERS - MERCKEM - OOST-NIEUWKERKE," each being a battle that the fort was involved in during 1914-1918.
