From the more lush/green shots you would never think this is so close to town.

That's such a strange shot, this place looks so secuded yet it's right beside the town.
It does look so secluded but actually it is so close to busy street, makes you wonder how it is left in the condition it is.

The building below..was that the control house? It looks like the long slot is where the cable came off the wheel over the shaft and then to the drum of the winch.

That's kind of odd, I usually associate mines with middle of nowhere.
