Niet Steriel

Niet Steriel

Taking a break in the sterilization room; "Niet Steriel" written on the side of the table is Dutch for "Not Sterile."

Below is a similar view from 1937 (photo credit to Paul Henri).

I love all the before and after photos man!
I agree with Zebra. Its interesting to see what the place looked like back when it was operational and compare it to what it looks like now
Me three! The decay is such a strong visual compaired to the originality. Smile Motts!
Hee. they left someone behind! :-)
Great pictures man.
Yes, if all UE photos included a "before" shot as well, it would greatly satisfy the double need for me: the beauty of abandonment AND the beauty of old buildings.

Motts I love this one particularly because you're in it for comparison: it made me think of how back in the '37 shot you weren't even born and the place was destined to have you record her 70 years later. There is something just mind boggling cool about that.
Who is the oh, so hot gentleman in the photo, crouched next to the wall?
Calm down Dawn:-) Just sit and DROOL like everybody else does :-(
You got it made as a man Motts!
could someone please hose down Dawn?
I'm absolutely amazed, it has stood still in time. I love that slouched old bastard leaning against the wall, is he a permenat part of the structure or is he just an another illusion of what was and shall never be again. I love it.
What's with the anti-semitic mark on the left of Motts? The crossed out Star of David... at least that's how I interpret it...
That kind of graffiti shows up in many abandoned and urban places all over the world... I really didn't even notice it. I disregard tags of this nature as they hold no interest or value to me personally.
I took it more as someone hating Nintendo.
Ooooo! Hey Motts are ya single? LOL! On second thought, bad idea! I hate getting my pic taken!
looks comfy in there... XD
Love the look of wonder on your face :P I wonder if you gave that table a wipe it would be shiny like in the 37 shot.. hmm guess not
i got a fright was not expecting to see an actual person sitting there lol well done motts
:-o ooooo is that motts in the pic, very nice i must say!!!! ;-)
i love the before and after photos, really tells a story!
not often you're in your own photos
Hey Motts,your kinda how i pictured you.I,m not gay but i think due to your photos i have a non-sexual crush on you. And judging by the comments i've read over the last three days i'm not the only one. Keep up the great work,ps don't fear me i'm a pretty cool guy. DG.ps if i do say so myself.:}
Oh Does little Mr. Motts have to take a break. Just kidding
Motts, i find the pictures with you in them very intresting, they never really give a full view of the photographer himself! very mysterious
i'm amused by the fact that he's trying very hard to not touch anything if he doesn't need to- the hovering crouch, the crossed arms...
cute pix of you, your adorable motts, keep up the awesome work man! :<)
Yeh, guess I have to get in (the extremely long) line of admirers and just.....' admire'.....
nice nice nice
