Pillars

The environment reminded me of watching Indiana Jones when I was a child and wishing I was there... finally getting a similar experience in real life was astounding.

I wonder how long they took to build this monastery.
I second Janice, this place is huge!
Wow.....!
I enjoy how the chimney is used as a column there, and it looks like the plaster left behind the arches over each opening.
It do look like something you would have found long long ago when size was part of the wealth of the community. the hugh columns and arches are just awesome!
One word: lighting. What great lighting...
Indiana Jones brings similar memories for me...damn, maybe an entire generation of kids who grew up watching those movies are now avid adventure seekers...I love places like this, don't care much for the types who usually hang out in them. Do you ever carry anything for self defense?
Yes, it is very say Last Crusade-ish...that really cool building with the columns cut into the cliff.

I also agree about the Indiana Jones/Crusade movie. That place was huge or it appear so in the movie. Those columns are large though.....nice shot....
