Gothic

Gothic

We were met with ornate Gothic windows and doorways, once boarded up some time ago.

some of the best designs
Ooooh...I love how the grey stone contrasts with the green foliage.
glad the boards were removed, very gothic indeed
The trifoil at the top of the window signifies the holy trinity.
It certainly exudes abandonment.
This is a great shot! I can just imagine an elderly version of Cinderilla living in there like some weird fairy tale version of Norma Desmond!
Beautiful architecture!
*sigh* Simply fantastic... I love the windows...
Stunning.
This looks as if it were the garden area but, it gives the impression as a Chapel. And what is that Ball in the window, or is that somebodys head? And what did that note on the door say? OUT TO LUNCH!
Wow...That architexture (sp? sorry =( ) is AMAZING. The stonework and the windows is simply marvelous, wonderful job capturing the age and decay that affected the outside of this place.

Kind of cool it almost looks untouched -- the stone, anyways. They certainly built things well. Must have taken forever though...
Gods, I would LOVE to buy and renovate it!
Hi I'm Belgian and I've visited this wondeful castle , but only from outside...
Miranda castle is falling into ruins because of people and vandals and it is a pity !! (during it was unoccupied, vandals light a fire that made a big hole in the roof.. and it is raining inside since 1991) ..stealers and vandals had taken and broken decoration peaces.
Who are the actual owners ? I don't know but nobody is moving to restaure this jewel of architecture of the 19th century, even the community or the region..
Some internet sites are talking about this mysterial ruins and more and more people are visiting it.
but...PLEASE DON'T DESTROY IT HARDER..RESPECT THIS PLACE that is part of the past..
this castle belongs to ghosts now, from the first owners at the end of 19th century till the children that were living in the "home de Noisy" in the 20th century...
It seems to be that there is a ghost girl on this picture (behind the main door)
Well, I believe
and I love that castle
beautiful... could you imagine?
Iḿ going there in about a week ^^
something i wanted to do for a long while
but I just want to look
and I don't want to destroy anything there
and motts thanks for the great pictures
of all the abandoned places :]
Great work Motts.
mmmmmmmmmm those arches so enchnating
It would be a dream of mine to work and renovate, such a wonderfull peace of history, just to have the right to live in it.
