Ice-O-Mat

I wonder how old this thing is.

The first Ice-O-Mat ice crusher was introduced in 1939. Evidently they were manufactured well into the 1950s when they were replaced by refrigerators with built-in ice crushers (and presumably the type of ice machines we are familiar with in hotels today). Some "retro" models are still being sold, apparently.
I got one I inherited from my parents. Works better at crushing ice into larger pieces than a blender, which tends to puree it into slush...
My grandmother has one of those. Takes some elbow grease, but it works better than the ice crusher on our fridge.
I own a Can-O-Mat that was made by the same company called Revall. It is a hand opporated can opener that mounted to the wall. It was made some time in the 40s
I got one of these at a yard sale and I use it all the time. You can pick these up on eBay for about $10. its well worth it
My mom had one of these back in the 80's & was using it.
I've been collecting the Rival O Mat products for about 10 years, about 45 in all. Favorite... 3 origonal 39 ball tops. Juice O Mats also very cool. I can't find any info on when they were produced. Any help would be appreciated
Excellent... most helpful. Gracias.
ice-o-materiffic!! What a funny little product. It's fun to grind ice into mostly water and just a little drop of ice. We got it at a yard sale. It's funny, but we love old metal products from the USA!
I have one that was made for Coca Cola before 1941 as it has the trademark in the first c of Coca. Bottom half of machine (Ice catcher) is red
Looks like a soap dispenser.
I own a can-o-mat but don't have the mounting bracket. Can anyone direct me to a source for this type of bracket?
I have one of these. I think it is from the 50's as mine is pale yellow and it hangs on teh wall to crush ice in.
I have a Red/White Rival Ice-O-Mat Vogue model that belonged to my Great Grandparents. I think it looks cool in my kitchen and looks and works great. I use it frequently when making alcoholic beverages for myself and friends. Its a great conversation piece...especially now that I have researched it a bit.
At my childhood house we owned one of these things... We used it for years, it was attached to my basement staircase.

Very fond memories.
That would be to difficult to not take. I LOVE retro appliances.
