Lucky 13

Lucky 13

A separate area was reserved for potentially hazardous bodies, where the doors were painted yellow and dead bolted. The sign reads, "Bodies brought in dead or classified as high risk to be placed in this fridge."

Gotta love the hand-drawn Sharpie biohazard symbol!
Bodiers brought in dead? As opposed to those brought in otherwise?
Bodiers? What the hell? Lets try "bodies".
...but there is another sign under that one. I wonder what it said?
Bodies brought in dead or "...high risk". High risk of what? Dying? That is the oddest sign I ever saw.
High risk of spreading a disease I assume.
makes me think of the movie "28 Days Later"...
J-131274, you poor soul - you must have spewed some drinks on your keyboard and they are sticking now. ;-)

This is truly the grandest sign I have ever seen. :-)
Ha ha Puddle Boy! It says, all soft drinks and beer in here!
BIOHAZARED RULEZ
I can't stop staring at the black symbol here. It's really catching my eye. Good shot Motts!
I agree with you Patty. That's the first thing I thought of, too!
very intresting!! creepy I love it
Sudden Zombie Outbreak!
why is ther a handle on both sides of the door opening? was a double wide door or something?
I WOULD HOPE THEY ARE DEAD AND NOT ALIVE!!!
I guess the deadbolt was to keep the live bodies from escaping O_o
I'm telling ya, Its for sudden zombie outbreaks man.
Yes J-131274, as opposed to those that crawl in there by themselves. lmfao
You would be suprised what some people will swallow or fall in, I can remember a case here in Australia that a guy working on a farm fell in a tub of cattle or sheep dip and he hed to be buried in a special bio - hazard container. Another bloke had such high toxin levels that he was buried in a similar container and his mother was upset because she couldn't see him.
i think it means people who were dead when they were found and brought in by ambulance rather than people who died in the hospital. if i'm correct, west middx was a general hospital rather than mental health. feel free to set me straight...
So basic but very affective.
That symbol, hand-drawn under the number 13, is too cool.
All I could think of was 'Return Of The Living Dead'
Brrrraaains!
bring out your dead
I wonder why the "normal" fridges have such heavy duty latches and the "high risk" fridge just has a cheap little sliding latch?

Hmmmm......
Motts, i live about 5 minutes away from this place and feel like having a little adventure of my own, any tips on which way to get in? and what to watch out for? a lot of people tend to hang out outside the graveyard area on the way to Syon park. i haven't seen the place since i was little, it was the place where all my broken bones were seen to and my friends were born, it would be nice to go and have a look around to see how things look now. thanx.
I don't give out information on how to enter the properties, but the hospital building looked pretty smashed out when I visited last year; so I assume it was accessible.
I wouldnt open that one.
I'm with GrandDuchess on this one...
Dead or... and if or is just contaminated then contaminated by what? Also if just contaminated the that may/could mean still "ALIVE" ...that's an unhappy thought :-(
i wonder if the bodies are still preserverd or they just got rid of them
"dead OR classified as high risk"

Were they putting living people in there?
um? 28 Weeks Later, anyone?
I'll forever see the color yellow in a different light!!!
o.o!

I'll never look at yellow the same way again.

Damn.
P.S. Good shot by the way, Motts.
I assume "brought in dead" was with the meaning that if the person died at the facility, they'd have a decent idea of why they died, whereas if a body was merely brought in from trauma, etc., they wouldn't have tested it for infectious disease yet, and it was basically a "holding area" (read: just in case the body's infectious).
amazing, don't act up, you'll get put there, and you can check out, but you can never leave... =]
im glad mt grandfather didnt die in a hospital, he would of been put in a place like this.
could high risk mean zombies??
Has nobody reflected over the possible irony of using a device known as a DEAD bolt in a morgue? Just sayin'...
Dead or?
