That is the shit!
Awesomeness... Loving the decor
That is very cool!!!
Only seeing the branches, it reminds me of evil...
How... surreal.
When I saw this I said out loud, "OMG I love that!" Now I'm sitting here alone talking to myself because of your pictures Motts......
Wish I had the talent to do that in my house! Great shot.
Zebra.......you`re so right.....it`s the result of a treacle enema........commonly given to the defectives.....using Fowlers Black Treacle and warm water.........think I`m joking .look it up ...LOL
Oh my, that pic opened up and scared the poop out of me!! I hate when certain pics of yours do that to me... lol

But that is a awesome shot. I just love the angle and the branches look like something evil creeping into the building and dripping over the window ledges. Was that rust or apart of the branches under the window??

I can tell you, if i walked in on this, i would run like the plague was chasing me..
That's awesome although I reckon it was done after the place was closed down.
Gnarled branches creep up the wall
Seeking to slowly reclaim all
Nature watches with an eager eye
Willing the building to give up and die
Rotting, crumbling, mold, and rust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
whoa...reminds me of an evil swallowing those walls...
That would freak me out!
It's very 'grudge'ish, ain't it.
so weird and creepy.....
Nice poem Twug. You really should make a book of them. :-)
holy shit thats sweet!
How strange that they would have painted 'dead' tree limbs instead of limbs with leaves...
Thanks, Long Island Irish!
Looks so much like capillary to me. And I agree Long Island Irish, it must have been painted after the closure
Not necessarily... when I was in kindergarten, we had a tree like this painted on the wall. Then we would each get to make paper leaves and stick them on to celebrate the changing seasons...
I'm betting the people staying here got to do something similar. As my kindergarted teacher used to say, "The trees aren't dead, they're naked!"
wow, That so looks like something from that movie silent hill.
That must look great at dusk, with just a little light coming through the windows...
Def. one of the coolest pics!!
They look like black veins instead of branches.
this picture gives me the creeps. Reminds me of the tree in the Poltergeist movie.

THERE HERE!
it was me.I did the tree artwork when I worked in the building back i the 90's
Beautiful... I thought it was some sort of plant growth a first.
I've seem that tree before.
Well that's incredibly creepy. The fact that they were there before it fell into ruins...
...or not... ha ha...
awesome ! and as usual, twug your writing just adds to the pic. you got some talent of your own
that pic reminds me of haunting of hill house. where the photographor was taken into the walls where the mad doctor was doing some kind of wicked experiments on a patient.
Wow, that caught me off guard!

Someone spent some time on that with careful and deliberate attention to detail. Look at the tiny, skinny, and spider web-y lines on each branch.

Very realistic!
...creepy...
How freaky is that? Id have nightmares looking at that!
Your angle got me again.......those branches are too much!
The image just gives me the shivers, I don't know why. Even though they're painted they look truly sinister.
the branches are a little creepy, but beautifully painted.
No, it's wonderful that nature was used as a means of giving the patients some connection with the outside world. It may even have been done by one of the patients as art therapy. I love it
that is the coolest thing that i have ever seen! i love it! thanks for the great pics motts!
i love this. im going to paint my room like that :]
