Gilded

Gilded

Looking up at the ceilings, I noticed some great decorative moldings and textures in a few rooms.

Gorgeous.
Thats beautiful! I am going to be doing something like that in one room in my house if it all works out.
Wow! How intricate!
Stunning. I wouldn't mind staring up at that before I fall asleep and when I wake up. Very nice.
Boy they sure don't make things like they used to. So much thought and work were put into things back then, even in ceilings.
You can't see it, but I'm drooling here... So pretty...
Okay I change my mind this is my fave, well done mr motts
I would kill for this in my house!
Oh my god!
I wonder if this was made from Tin or plaster...
AHA! Maybe this is why the ceiling is missing in your "Foliage" room!

Can you imagine if this whole picture was a pattern on a rug? Just Gorgeous!

Motts~ With all it's little interesting details to its architecture, this is one of the most beautiful places you've photographed so far.
Thanks for showing us that once upon a time, people loved to build structures that would be so beautiful to the eyes.
So friken stunning!!!!!! This must be one of the top ceilings for beautifullness that I have ever seen! This is why i want to live in a victorian house and design them too!!!!
My love of such beautiful and insanely expensive touches like this is probably why I'm getting divorced! LOL! He's a modernist!
WOW! That looks like tin, unless I miss my guess. This is one of the nicest ceilings I have ever seen. I'm surprised that it wasn't stripped.
Your title and photo remind me of the comment "bird in a gilded cage" beautiful shot!
Love this photo!! great Job motts!!
Spent a night in this room. very little of the decor remains. its such a shame just to let such a beautiful house rot like this.
Very beautiful celing...wonderful...love it...what a shame its going to go to waste. How very sad.....
Very ornate and very beautiful!
its such a shame beautiful buildings like this are being lost, they dont build things like this anymore
It pains me to think about how much that must have cost to make.
*oooooo* Stunning! What a shame it's just rotting away.
