Banister

Banister

Coming down the steps, a moment passed where I thought, "Wow, it would really suck if someone fell down and out the window there," and then I noticed the metal grating over the glass!

Tho... yeah, it would really suck if someone fell down the stairs and out the window.

nice shot, I like the depth, looking down at the landing below.
I bet this place was lovely when it was first open.
it's amazing how beautiful the marble floors are and the banisters look as if someone has keep it clean
Lovely!
a couple of coats of polish and they would look brand new
That would suck! That banister is sweet! Oh and those tiles on the first floor lobby (im guessing) are so beautiful!
I can picture myself sliding down that bannister!
Boy this place looks like it is in great shape!!
If this is the staircase at the main entrance it used to have beautiful dark red carpet!
Thank you ever so much for your great photography. It brings back a lot of memories.
I have also made a link to your webside from miriam-may.com

Greetings from Holland
Thank you for the note and for your website Miriam!
This is an absolutely amazing photo! I love it!
From the view of my job cleaning houses and galleries, I HATE STAIRS. You have to vaccum each and every one of the stairs, making frequent trips up and down them to plug and unplug the vaccum. My biggest fear is dropping the vaccum down the stairs as most of the time i'm using the owner of the houses, and they always have the expensive ones.
The staircases in the place are so beautiful!
