As someone who likes to focus on old machinery, I like the contrast between the red paint and the shiny oil-streaked metal.

O.O there's no glare.
It's not paint or metal. If you have a look a few photos on, the connecting rods are wood, and the stain colours make for the contrasts. It just goes to show the skill of the craftsmen that made these machines
Can you IMAGINE the size of the tool kit one would need to work on a machine of this scale?!!!
