Weird and unsettling, but fabulous . . . Like an alien landscape.
i cant help but wounder what the year book photo taken from the same spot with the stadium in use would look like.....a sold out night football contest
in late october....
Holy shit! And I'm thinking it's a baseball field when it's actually a football field!
Except for the railings -- this could almost be the Colusseum in Rome -- beautiful!
From Cheery to Dreary.
I'm sure it was a multi-purpose field or ended up one. I mean, if the dude is right about them even having car races here. That outer circle of dirt is a track, so they had track and field. Baseball, softball, track, football-I'm sure this old place has seen it all. I'm sure it's hainted.
I remember the concerts, the soccer games, and the Thanksgiving football games between Eastside and Kennedy that were held there. It's a shame how we Patersonians have let our history just deteriorate, not only Hinchcliffe Stadium but the Fabian theatre!!!
Nice shot. Very concentric.

Stadiums are the saddest and loneliest places to haunt.
I remember going to the demolition derby here with my parents in the late 1950's and early 1960's. I live in South Jersey now and looking at these images brings back alot of fond memories. Thanks.
