What an amazing set !!! . Thanks so much Mr Motts for bringing another great place to us.
Awesome series as usual. Some of those rooms would be too spooky for me to sleep in.
that was a beautiful set of shots Motts!
i don't know how you do it but keep it up!
Absolutely fabulous work, thank you, Motts!

Motts, when you and your friends slept in the place, did you hear anything? Like settling noises? Animals?

It would freak me out, too, if I had to spend the night in a place remotely desolated as that! :oO
Killer set man!
Great set man, excellent!
Amazing once again, Mr.Motts. As always (with my usual loss for better words)... Thank you for taking me there. This has been a beautiful adventure. :) You will never know how much your galleries are appreciated.
Yet another fabulous set from the great Mr. Motts! Always lookin' forward to more!

omg: i want this for a wallpaper!!! this is sooo stunning beautifull!!!!!!!
Motts - time and time again people tell you how talented you are. I just want to reiterate that. I patiently wait for a new gallery and am so happy when you put one up! This is remarkable, as usual! Thank you for sharing you're trips with us! Nothing is better than the real thing - but with your photos - it feels like the real thing! Kudos!
Thank you again for another fantastic gallery! I check back regularly to see if a new one has been posted, and it's always a treat when I find one. :)

WOW, again!
fantastic as always Mr. Motts. Thank you so much for sharing them with us
Its especially fun to see this place after having seen the little glimpses of it from back when you posted the first few selections of the Europe trip.
It seems like these galleries just keep getting better and better and seem to end to fast. I'm gonna look through again.
what a cool lawn : )
though this picture is slightly disturbing in a surreal way...

of course, the weirdest things will make me feel uncomfortable, so i wont even start.
Wankarta- England.

Superb gallery, Motts. I look forward to your next upcoming set :)
Thanks for the kind words :-)

Michele: no it was actually very quiet and peaceful while we slept inside... usually these places are noisy only during windy weather as windows rattle and doors slam open and shut, but that night was very calm.
Wankarta: The hospital is located in England. Each place has a flag under the image on the locations page.
Good gallery! Nice.
STUNNING!
Gorgeous! I can hardly wait for another gallery!
amazing
Thank you for yet another great gallery Motts, it's always well worth the wait! :-)

Stay safe!
More wonderful stuff! Thank you :)
beautiful set of photos. This hospital seemed a lot nicer and not as ominous as some of the other ones you've visited - it seemed more cheerful and bright, and I liked how a lot of the walls and corridors had wall paper and other decorative touches like the light fixtures, like they wanted to make it a little more home-y. Wonderful work you've done!
Thanks Motts can't wait for another one!!
Motts - was leaving the facility as difficult as getting in?
Love the Sky in this one!!!
Another amazing set, Motts. I wish I had a better vocabulary to express what your work does for all of us.
As birdbrained said, this location seemed a bit more hopeful and cheerful. The "authorized tags" may have had a lot to do with this.
Thanks again, Motts. Keep 'em coming!
Totally awsome set Motts..... very long awaited but worth it cant wait for the next.... Melissa
It's late! I gotta go to sleep but these shots are mesmerizing. I'll glance at one more!
Amazing man, you are king with your camera man. I dont know about anyone else, but looking through these gallerys actually stur up my emotions. Great work.
you amaze me. i really think you should like, a coffee table type book. or even a normal book telling about the hospitals and the like, and your experiences. i would pick it up it a heartbeat! :)
Love to see the new pics, keeps me coming back for more.
i look forward to my saturday mornings. bacon sarnie in 1 hand and a mouse in the other as i look thru your work. thanx for continualy being my inspiration.
like a scene from a dream. is that infrared?
another standing ovation for mr. motts, with lots of loud clapping and loud whoowhoooing! as always thankyou again motts. i appreciate your work and this site
Thank you as always M. Motts!
My poor auntie was a patient here in the 1950's, following the death of one of her children she was severely mentally disturbed. Following a weekend break back home, before returning to the hospital and when she was alone she gassed herself . God rest her soul.
Tight on ALL sides!
WOW! I would love to explore with you! Great info & photos, my kinda thing!
Wow! It's been a while since I checked back here, and I'm so glad I returned when I did!

Mr Motts, you've done us proud! I love your pictures, and it's always a delight when you shoot places over here in England! You always breath new life into the most interesting of buildings, forgotten to the world!

I belive a standing ovation is in order!
Well done!

Druidess Of Midian
Very disturbing trip down memory lane for me. I worked there from 1972-1974 but never went back once I left the place. Stil remember patients names and faces even now after all these years.
Thanks for bringing back memories and pictures are fantastic I remember many of the rooms!
This is a beautiful pic. It looks as if it is grayscale. I have printed grandkids pics using grayscale, and this pic reminds me of that. I think grayscale is right, I may be in error.
I worked there from ' 78-87 and went back 2007 for a recce. Brought back many happy memories, but sad to see the place so derelict and forlorn, I felt like I was a ghost wandering around....
Wallpaper?
I can't imagine seeing this in person, its fantastic..
Hey Motts, if you ever get the chance to come to north east England again check out St Peters in Gainford. It used to be anorphanage, then an all boys school, then a nursing home. I remember going there when I was about six singing with the school choir. It's boarded up but i bet you'd still be able to get in.
There's some pictures of it on here: http://www.28dayslater...howthread.php?t=5651
I was A Patient Here In My Mid Teens (another story)And While I Can Appreciate The Artwork In Your Pictures Seeing The Corridoors And Rooms You Shot It Stirred Up A Lot Of Emotion For Me I Write This And Its 2010 Now Im Talking Mid 70s When I was In There And You Compare The Treatment Of Mental Health Patients Today To Back Then There Poles Apart My Memories Of The Hospital Were When I Think Back Were Claustrophobic,Scary,Victorian In Its Oppresive Treatment Of Patients If You Have Ever Watched The Elephant Man That Comes Pretty Close To How It Was That Said Tho I Can Appreciate The Artwork In The Pictures Hope U Dont Mind My Comments
