Something is odd about those doors... they don't have knobs, but they have locks, but no observation windows...

I take it the sign on the back of the middle door says Bedroom One... which just seems really odd to call it a bedroom.... this picture hurts my brain..... perhaps its the wallpaper subconsciously freaking me out...
That would be odd, if the MIDDLE door is tagged "Bedroom No. 1".....Whats to either SIDE?!?! == : o
Why "Bedroom #0 and Bedroom No.#2 of course" ;-)
It's great the way the angle makes the whole thing look like it's leaning to one side and that's why the doors are open - they are hanging from gravity.
That wallpaper freaks me. It reminds me of Marc Davis's wallpaper in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion where it is staring at you.
OMG StareGirl, thats what i said when i saw the pic.
I really hope they didn't house the paranoid people here, just looking at that wallpaper is enough to make me start glancing behind me!
You dont see wallpaper very much in these places. It looks like its in good condition
this is intresting i agree alot with Felyne
Maybe they don't need observation windows. Maybe they're bedrooms for the attending nurses/doctors to take naps on long shifts. SOMEONE has to work the midnight shift and watch the patients, right?
but wait isnt bedroom # 2 missing its door?
That door sign is now on my bedroom wall, sorry folks.
looks to me like there used to be door knobs on but they've been taken off (the black circles above the locks) prob because they were worth a bob or two. what i'm wondering is why the doors are different...the one in the middle (bedroom 1) is different to the ones either side
this is a pic of Laurels West 2 the female distrubed ward. The difference is doors is due to the fact that some rooms with panel doors are office or storage, but the thicker planked doors would have been used as patients side rooms. they were lockable (but not used) and the handle was on one side only on some doors on rooms that were used for close observation
They all had handles on the outside.
For some reason they have been removed.
Side rooms didn`t have observation windows apart from the ones where disturbed patients were placed for their safety. Only found on East and West 2, the male and female disturbed wards.
These rooms had blinds between two panels of plastic, the light fittings were in a recess in the ceiling and were covered so that they could not be broken and the glass used for self harm.
@ Ward Sister, but it could only be West 2 given the layout and orientation of the windows.....
