Man, they must've been one hell of an organist. Tore the place up!
Seems that some keys has been removed too..
i love organs, and this makes me sad
Talk about tearing up the ivory!!! Great closeup Motts!
Funny you should say that Tony C. but if this organ is 19th century the keys are probably indeed real ivory.
imagine playing Ina Godda Da Vida on that
Tracker Action, too. A real shame it's busted up.
Like I thought English Oak. I bet if you attacked that thing with a "Pledge" can instead of a spray paint can, she would gleam like the day she was built!
I really love this.
I was thinking Ina Godda Da Vida as well, heheheh
As an amateur keyboardist, I would give real money to have a chance to try Toccata & Fugue in D minor on this baby! I bet the room had excellent acoustics!
If Trent Reznor and Tori Amos did a duet, this would have to be in the video.
These are some cool pics. I love old buildings like this. Good job on the pics guys.
must have sounded wounderfull
To Joe,
Imagine playing Toccata and Fugue in D Minor
by Bach.
They're actually called "stops"...like in the phrase, "pull out all the stops". It's a reference to the organ.
I love the broken and missing keys...for some reason it reminds me of teeth.

And I have to agree with the Tori Amos and Trent Reznor comment, lol.
its a shame to see it like it is now, it makes me sad when I remember how it looked and sounded
yes i remember how it played and looked before closing of chapel
I worked there for 15 years . It breaks my heart to see these pictures
