To the Chapel

To the Chapel

The hospital was primarily two stories tall, but the center portion contained the main hall and the chapel stacked on top, each taking a story and a half each... so you always had to walk up to the chapel no matter what floor you were on.

Gorgeous. Love the B&W
Excellent angle, makes one believe they are there...kinda.
Excellent shot! I agree about the angle. It makes a holy place look sinister...
Motts, were those stair risers marble or granite?
Love the chapel doors.
Ooh, I like the one open door. Makes it seem like the chapel is beckoning us inside...
Yesss!
fantastic shot!!!!!!!
Is that artificial brickwork on the window wall? Or original construction covered up by tacky wallpaper and paint?
Yes, it looks like marble in the stairs... the wall to the right has original stepped brick on the bottom that was covered with what looks like a more modern latex-based paint.
I LOVE THIS ONE!
Reminds me of the Blues Brothers!
Beautiful shot Motts!
It makes me feel like i'm crawling to reach the top ,what appears to be the Chapel at the top, but due to time, I'm withering away just as the surroondings. TTIME MARCHES ON AND WAITS FOR NO MAN!!! (or woman)
