Great hallway shot, and those lights are awesome
Those lights make it look as though this hallway was very elegant at one time.
Wierd light fixtures, brilliant colors.
Looking at the colors of the wall and carpet, it seems to have been much like the hallways in a classy hotel, at one time. Nice, I like the lights, too!
I love the light fixtures!
They must have been very clean people, hanging so many soap dispensers in one place... :D What a beautiful shot, and I agere with Tony: it looks like a hotel hallway!
Interesting how the paint is peeling more on the exposed (window) side of the ceiling. I like the perspective.
very differnt
Cool, the light fixtures look like upside-down flowers.
Great hallway picture. :)
do you suppose the paint peeled more on the window side due to moisture?
love those light fixtures/soap dispensers!
is that a person at the end of the hall???
I've been lurking or haunting this board for about a year now, and that is one thing I've noticed. Almost everytime, the exterior walls always seem to be in the worst shape. They didn't have Anderson windows back then, so drafts moisture, leaks and broken windows are probably the culprit.
Awesome shot; there's a lot going on there.

I notice there are blocks installed in the window tracks to keep the sash from being opened too far.
You would make a lot of money if you sell those light fixtures on ebay.
Wow, what a hallway shot. The lights just add so much character to it, don't you think?

They sure don't make 'em like that anymore, especially not back in the Western hemisphere.
Perfection.
Nice shot!
love theese photos, amazing shots, thank you
I love these shots! I hope you find more places to explore! Any way to hook up with other explorers?
its raining scraped paint
this would be a cool place for a Modeling Photo shoot...the hall and the way everything is placed, its beautiful, nice shot!
you have a great camera now how about pointing it straight
kinda odd. like some of the other people the one thing that really stands out to me is the fact that it seems that devided almost evenly the paint peels on one side but not the other. Mott, not even sure you noticed this when you shot it. Excellent pic
the shot is of either Laurel East 1 Ward, which was a male ward, or Laurels West 1 Ward, which was a female ward. I can't quite recall from memory which it is, but it can only be one of either.
Been here, feels abandoned! Sad place!
Probably not.
This is the hallway that on youtube threre was a figure just crouching down... The video is at www.youtube.com/cherryknowleasylum.
