Wow... The broken glass on the white door looks as if it forms a small, ghastly figure that looks like it is screaming.
I thought the same thing, too, Kyo. There's something vaguely distressing about this photo - something besides just the smashed window. I can't quite put my finger on it...
I agree GirlJaye.
Such beautiful light in this one! And I agree about the "figure" in the door, looks like a howling ghostie!
OH yeah, I likes this one! :-)
My favorite by far. I love the way you've highlighted the beautiful blue of the door
Sheesh, these doors look like they were victims of a drive by..
My favorite so far! I like how the white and baby blue contrast, and yes, that stain on the window does look like a small, screaming creature. Quite unnerving.

LOL Chrissie! :-D
i love the figure formed by the broken glass as kyo said.
probably my favorite.
looks like the door is bleeding
that broken glass looks like a trapped baby screaming for help, freaky...
I agree, very interesting image created by the (gun?) shot!

This picture is conveying a cold, desolated feel to me.
I thought the white figure looked like a fairy with big meshy wings.
Beautiful shot. How do you do it?
I don't really; it's the people who built this place, worked and lived in it, abandoned it, the sun, wind, water and ice... I just take photos of it all.
Haunting! Thank you for your wonderful photos, you have an exceptional talent. It's sad to see these buildings being torn down to make way for condos (ie danvers). I would love to see these in a coffee table book.
Oh Motts.... You are extremely talented and modest too! You're a GEM! :)~
looks like it could be a gun shot from left to right
thats JUST COOKIE MEAN SSSSSCCCCCAAAARRRRYYYY looks tlike gleaming eyes looking at you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK run run wowowo what the?????
What is that white structure on the wall? Looks like a speaker of some sort, an intercom
looks like the soap dispencer again!
hmm on the door with the broken glass looks like blood....maybe *goes in to deep thought*
The thing on the wall looks like an burgular alarm box, possibly linked to a panic button.
i think the effect is the light outside, and the dark inside, coupled with the damage to the doors, have you noticed, one has been damaged from inisde the room and one from outside.
That little guy looks like a modern logo, possibly computerized, of a characterture rock singer.
And whats' that on door number three??
Looks like a pin-up girl.
Has anyone noticed that on the blue door (which is the outside view of the door) there's two holes, ie. for a lock and a door handle. Where as on the white door (the side from inside the room) there's only one hole? Guessing this was some kind of cell which could be only opened from the outside, ie. inmates were locked in. Creepy!
These rooms were actually padded cells and could only be opened from the outside.I was at pre nursing college and went on the ward one day and a patient was in one with just a mattress to lie on and nothing else but padded walls
This photo is amazing! And the history that goes with it makes it even better.
