red filters are used to allow one to see better in a darkened area. maybe that's why these are there.

Did you know white pine mental institution in Saginaw is built on an old graveyard? And as they had added on a wing, they un earthed 4 bodies.
Did you know that in the photo darkrooms of days (past?) the only light allowed for film developement was a red light bulb?
And in that case anything red that you were wearing or carried in would disappear.
Next there was an inner darkroom inside the darkroom with no light.
