Inside

Inside

We were told not to go inside, but it's very difficult when you've been doing this for so long to follow such instructions, especially when an open door is staring you in the face! I knew I'd never see this place again in my life, and a quick peek wouldn't hurt anyone...

The place was pretty gutted, and renovated to a point where it didn't look all too interesting so I wasn't compelled to stick around.

Aahhhhh....the crooked, endless hallway shot. I can rest easy now...thanks, Motts!
Em, where's our lonely chair shot? 8`-(
They have all been released back into the wild...
Thank you! I couldn't have slept tonight, worrying that the little critters didn't get out in time before the building went down.
Though I'm sure the ones in the basement won't survive 8-)
poor poor loney chairs i just hope there making leway now that they are out on there own....
Nice hallway shot, too bad all the lonely chairs are gone.
Lynne you always make me smile =)
Aw, gawrsh! ;-)
now im dissapointed, not in the shot, just the interior
I got addicted to this site. Waiting for more awesome pictures. Have you ever caught being in such building Motts?
spooky hallway but i lovew the pic
It is a great photo. I am really impressed. I am Spanish and these topics of mysteries and left sites(places) I like very much
The outside of the building is like fancy gift wrapping and this hallway is disapointing gift truly. I see your point Motts, all of those pipes are an awfull thing to do to such a piece of history.

There's more shots of inside Barnes on FLickr ~ including some beautiful staircases and the inside of some hidden corridors (with lonely chairs) and inside the clock tower :)
creepy
You are naughty Motts, just naughty... it's cool you got some inside shots though, another few shots under pressure will do?
I knew you'd get in there, if just for a few minutes! ;-)
A couple of years on and the renovations still haven't started the security guards remain on site but after on going arson attracts the building looks in a sorry state, this particular corridor is now black with smoke damage and all these bits of rubble etc are gone its a sorry site
