This is beautiful the way the sun is hitting it and the hint of blue sky through the clouds.
Motts, you were probably ACHING to get into that clock tower....too bad....Like I said...thats one gawgeuos building...
Yes, Kadee....the colors make the shot!
A really great looking clocktower!
Is there some kind of small tree growing up there near the top of the tower? How strange.
I love that clock tower. Looks that the clock has seen better days. Just think how many "tick-tocks" it has produced. And all the people that depended on that clock. Makes me think of that song "My Grandfathers Clock" I love it!!!!
No one knows that song anymore, I am afraid, except the two of us.
J.R. knows it!

but I can't think of any song for this place. too splendid. in this pic it almost looks as if it is still alive. I can almost see the grime and wear of time just fade away into its former glory... not that it isn't beautiful in near shambles as well!

that begs the question though... any historical pics of this place?
The clock tower is lovely. I hope they restore that well.
WOW! thanks, Lynne! you can see a lot in that old shot that is no longer here, ex the tall needle on the very top of the clock tower. how beautiful...
THATS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE OF THE CHURCH.
It is sad what time, man, and wheather can do to these wonderful structures.
Hate to tell you this, Lynne, but I remember that song all too well, also. Beautiful photo!
The setting sun puts a better color to the pic.
But I wonder if the guts of the clock are still up there.
I think the cogs of the clock tower are still there!
I can find out for you, if you like.
I remember this hospital before the 2nd W.W., walking past it on the way to my home in Carlton Drive.
Is there a tree up there growing high up on the tower above the clock? Cool!
