Indeed. Those were some really fantastic shots, and a really lucky find. Though I had to restrain myself from making endless Oblivion quips.
kinda creepy but good pics

Just in time for Halloween to display the crypt photos....another fabulous gallery, Motts!
So noone really visits this place?
I'd love to see more photos of this sort of find.

Well said Sue, it's the respect you show Motts that gives you OUR respect. :-)

You kept this one back just for Halloween, didn't ya?? What an extremely cool find, and the shots you took are just too sweet for words....... the light in this last one looks so unreal.

Great job Motts and THANK YOU!
all I could say about your respect and skill in places like this has already been said. you're the coolest, Motts!
Once again a magnificent gallery Motts!

I wonder how many places like this in the USA could remain so undisturbed?
Love the window and design of the arches in this cript.
May anyone else who enters here also, just "take pictures, leave footprints."
Another beautiful gallery, Motts!
Thanks so much!
Motts, take a bow! Thank you for another great (spooky-and-just-in-time-for-haloween) gallery!! Love the way you gave it that Batman bad-guy hide-out look....makes it creepier!
As was said, your respect for these finds is indellable.

Wouldn't the gravekeeper hear the door open?
This gallery is absolutely one of my favorites.. What a find.
Mr. Motts - Any chance of a pic from the outside?? You painted a great picture of it in our minds....any actual pics?

Awesome gallery by the way!!

LOVE the structure of this place. About as strong as it gets. Notice the beveled edges...a professional touch.
Awesome gallery Motts! something very different and small, but you did a great job of capturing the place.
No outside shots unfortunately...
Great series. Always a pleasure to catch up with this site!
Another awesome find.
This was one of my favorite galleries. Well done Motts! :-)
I loved it! This one looks almost like it's under water, or like there's water reflecting on the walls. This is great. I'm so glad to see that no vandals have ruined the place.
Thank you so much! People like me would've have never seen anything like this if it weren't for you. You have to see this to believe how incredible it is, I am still awestruck!
fantastic set of photos and so fitting with Halloween right around the corner

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!!
Ah, yes. I knew my intuitions were correct when I woke up today KNOWING there'd be new pics. :P

Dreamy as usual. Puts me a better place [to put it.. least morbidly].
You have done it once again Mr. Motts, antastic work.
fantastic*
What an amazing gallery. Can't wait to see more of your photos, Mr.Motts.

ROCK ON MY FRIEND.
Nice Shot
Absotively Luscious gallery! The next one soon?? Love your "eye".
way to end the gallery, such an ominous shot! Almost like a final glance before the old doors are shut for some other explorer to open once again in the distant future, or perhaps never again...
Bang-up job Motts!
to all opacity fans, HAPPY HOLLOWEEN
Bang up, oh my!
IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THERE ARE ANY BODIES INSIDE THE COFFINS.
another excellent gallery motts.
what a fascinating find matey, awesome pics as usual !
What a fitting end to an awsome presentation. SIR ,YOU ARE THE BEST. I actually espected Dracula to peek out of that partially open coffin or Vincent Price to walk in at any time. Edgar Allan Poe would be proud of you.
*won't sleep tonight*
WOW very amazing, I wish I could have been in that room to see all of that
I LOVE THIS. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
perfect.
this is the best gallery yet!!!
This picture (and Gallery as a whole) has inspired me while I write my novel. Thank you.
By the way, theres a crypt in my towns graveyard that I assume looks just like this on the inside, someday I will go in, someday...
Ok after seeing all those coffins I got to tell you a true story... One of my fathers close friends had invested in a coffin making company and had thought it fitting to go to one of the ceremonies and the person who died had a really poor family so they bought a really cheap coffin. When they were bringing the coffin up the stairs the bottom of the coffin fell out and the body flopped down all the stairs! Needless to say he sold his shares of the company.
Wow Tom, that is something you don't here everday. A body of a poor soul falling through a casket and falling down some stairs. I bet the family of the deceased were kind of mad. I know I would be a little ticked off.
Makes one wonder how old this place is.
What a nice and respectfull way to berry the dead, but the where not common people.
You must see the site ,, Palermo crypts
to see the difference".
Does anyone know the exact name of the town that this crypt is in? I would love to know.
Pilfering is against the law, you know. Besides, there's probably Ancestral Ghosts or Skeletons in there or something.

And if it's the Motierre crypt... well, let's just say you better be able to Turn Undead.
Being a serious UE fan, I can't believe your site is not linked absolutely everywhere. Beautiful work, layout, photos, colors - everything. I just about orgasmed perusing the Crypt of Baron's photos..!

You have been seriously bookmarked. Please, please don't disappear offline as so many do...

...and thanks for the eye candy!

:::merrily off to see the rest of the site:::

Very creepy start, very beautiful ending!
Your photography is absolutely stunning, Mr. Motts. I love the historical aspect of your adventures. Thanks.
I always knew that I wanted to be cremated! Ashes to the wind!!
I must say, this is my favorite gallery so far. Thank you Mr. Motts for giving places like this respect. Your style, class, and ethics are an inspiration to many of us.

And thank you again for allowing us to see the world through your eyes. Amazing.
Stunning beauty.

Great find.
Nowadays the funeral parlor has three choices in caskets : (expensive) pine crate, very expensive casket, and 'reach for the stars'
People feel obligated(at an inconvenient time) to give thier loved one the best, its' used for a few hours, then put in the ground.
Thanks for your talent and skill, thanks for your respect of these magnificent places and above all............thank you for sharing!
Absolutely fascinating and breathtaking.

I have my own "dreams" of what this was, is, and will be to come.

Ahh...for another day.
One word - WALLPAPER!

And did I mention already that this is my favorite gallery of yours? It truly is magnificent.

:-)
There is no way that I would have entered that building, even @ gunpoint!! This is like the opener to a Stephen King flick. But I'm glad that you did & I thank you for sharing it. I'm just relieved that the groundskeeper didn't find the door unlocked & accidently lock you in. You have nerves of steel!
Oh, wow. The entire "Crypt of Barons" set is just beautiful--you really ought to explore more crypts and that like, Motts.
Wonder if you'd lift one of those lids if bugs would come swarming out?
looks like something out of a spooky movie
god i would love to go there!! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN THERE!!???
çok ilginç ve gizemli
Thank you for a really cool gallery! I loved seeing the old coffins, they are so beautiful!
