The red and peach colors of this decaying liner were beautiful...

Indeed, they are.
The workmanship is so exquisite!
I wonder how long it took to make one of these. Also, if one or more people created it.
What workmanship! Gawgeous....One thing....I wouldn't want to have to pick that casket up with that handle...it looks painful to pick up
IT LOOKS LIKE THE CLOTH MIGHT HAVE BEEN VELVET, VERY REGAL!
Just perfect for next painting.....
I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHAT THE OTHER COFFIN INSIDE LOOKS LIKE. IS IT MADE OUT OF CEMENT OR WOOD?
Probably lead as that was widely used in England between the 17and 19 centuries. Fantastic stuff here Mr Motts!
This shot and the next one are my favorites of this gallery. I've been reading a lot of HP Lovecraft recently and this gallery eerily reminds me of his stories. These shots are very mature and elegant and add your distinct personal style, whereas someone else might be more sensationalist and disrepectful simply because they are in the presence of corpses. They're beautiful.
it is so beautiful to see how people honored their dead way back when. Nowadays we stick them in boxes in the ground. These coffins thank god were not put in the ground to decay
Yes Grace!
Nice analogy that had'nt occured to me yet while enjoying these photos. To me, they really bring to mind THE OUTSIDER , THE SHUNNED HOUSE & but of course, THE TOMB.
What can I say???? Beautiful, just Beautiful. Who ever made this was an artist. I hope it was apperciated, because a lot of hard work and talent went into this. I must say the same about the photographer also. Sir, you know how to capture the essence with respect , honor for the subject. Thank You!!!!!!!!
This is leading me somewhere...
really good colors and use of it.
The lighting is absolutely perfect. Magnificent.
I wonder who lies within that coffin. So much history is contained in that room.
Like an old Sea Chest.

Things have changed over the years regarding funerals and burials.
Some of you may still remember when they would flick the switch and the mechanism would automatically lower the casket into the grave by means of belts. They don't do that anymore.I say it is to give the grave workers more time to do thier job, especially if there is a snag. But an old timer at a burial last summer told me they don't do it anymore because of a couple of cases where the severly bereaved jumped into the grave after the casket.
It almost looks like "something" is trying to get out of the end of that coffin! What exquisite craftsmanship!
Why are those inner lines of nail heads so close together? They don't need to be that close to one another - spaced out, they would still be able to handle the weight of the coffin
hay alguna manera de saber la localización exacta de la crypta?
taylor miles theyre for deocoration
