Plaque Closeup

This coffin holds the remains of a duke, born in the late 1700's. The details of the plaque have been blurred out to keep the locations anonymity.

Wow! Was this the oldest one there?
It looked like one of the oldest ones, although some didn't seem to have any plaques, and the ones up top were difficult to see...
Great set Motts!
It's actually the Duke's wife, and lived to the ripe old age of 91 [admin: edited related information that gave away the location, sorry!]
I appreciate the information, but the location was quite easy to find with the comments posted... apologies for editing the comments and obscuring the name in the photo more.
was there any children laid to rest there?
No, not in the crypt.
BRILLIANT!
I don"t particularly care exactly who this was. Look at the work that went into this coffin. Who ever did this was very talented I hope he was appreciated. Great Photo!!!!! You are doing an awsome job in bringing this to us who, in there wildest dreams , would never get to see this so close up. Thank You!!!!!
Still, the eye to detail is established here. Thanks Motts!
WOW, BRILLIANT!
wow....
That's useful.
I find it quite admirable that you explore these places that interest you while making efforts for minimal disturbance of the sites and to discourage theft and vandalism.
Also, the bits of history you've included are quite interesting. Even though your photos are interesting in themselves, I find the history of the places adds alot overall.
Awesome photos. Well done, Mr. Motts.
Motts, as curious as I am to know the location (although since I live in Connecticut I am sure I will never go there), I admire that you have kept this location a secret and that and the fact that you have enough respect not to open the caskets! :-)
