Whenever I see open doors like this, it always makes me think that a bunch of people left in a hurry.
Again no real reason why this should be so creepy....it just is.
someone commented on that in a previous gallery. another replied that when places were closed up, the staff left all the doors open like this & walked out.
The "X" on the doors...reminds me of the X they put on the trees on the orchards that will be cut down or they are dead and need to be removed..
Dave - perhaps they used the same system for patients

*ducks*
I love shots like there. And your right LI Irish..it is very creepy.
I can't type very well with a sprained wrist...I meant *these* not *there*.
Thanks Jen I hope your wrist gets better soon. :-)
I would not be surprised if ghosts or zombies or something walked out those doors.
Wow. Just.. wow.
A new big budget Brit horror/comedy is going to be filming in this place in June. Keep yer eyes open fer it!
Instead of a spot of tea, there's always a spot of moss.
More X's - any idea what these were for?
THIS LOOKS LIKE IT`S NUMB AND HURTS AT THE SAME TIME,CAN YOU FEEL IT?
i go here often with a big group of freinds and it looks a lot more creepy than this. the floor is just covered in slate and theres different things along the floor such as wire. really scary. We have come out of there in seconds before now, but we kind of last a bit longer! hehe xx
Why are the doors always left open like this?
