That's a ROOM?? I honestly thought it was a hallway!
It sure does! I thought the same thing, Jude...
Boy, if you didn't have issues with claustrophobia before staying in a room like that, you sure would after a few days.
Norman are you there Norman?
Wow...now THIS disturbs me!
Okay well there is one room not for the morbidly overweight to explore......

Thank god you are so fit Motts. ;-)
fit indeed..

*blushes*
THATS A VERY NARROW VESTIBULE!
You know, I love small spaces, so I would feel perfectly comfortable in that room. A touch of paint would be nice though...
Was this a seclusion room?
Probably some poor administration persons tiny little enclave. A precurser to the cubicle!
I could imagine Sara Conner doing chin-ups on a bar that was suspended from each wall
I assume that was the Annorexia Ward?
LOL silkster!

Would that have been a room between rooms or something? Or just a tiny random thing? Perhaps a closet? Love the blankness and blandness of the walls...though only in the picture..
the cellings are so high,it makes you feel small.
came in with vertigo and left with claustraphobia.
one almost feels as if one is being dragged down a hall to shock treatment. very spooky, claustrophobic, and paranoid.
I'm getting the feeling that this is where they put you when you were out of control. Can't hurt yourself or anybody else. No furniture, no nothin but the walls. Now cool down. Mr Motts, was there a window or anything in this room. This is the feel I get. A cool down or time out room for the more violent ones.
The next two photos are from the same room; yes it looked like a seclusion room of sorts.
it's probably where they treated agrophobia.
It would be nice to think that it were for storage after all. Who would like to be stuck in that room anyways, healthy or not.
I thought Mott said they brought people here from England because they were being mistreated. Wouldn't being put in this tiny little room be cruel and unusual punishment. In the US our prisoners have rooms bigger than this.
a time out room is only al temporary place to put a resident, usually used because the resodent is being violent tward others. Nobody was expected to live in one of these rooms, just to calm down.
wow.
this is so disturbing that i dont even want to look at it anymore.

claustraphobia and vertigo are key elements in this room.
Sorry, I never had much intrst ibthe foreign phots till I saw these. Do you suppose this to be some sort of horroble punishment room, or just a random broom closet or something? What would make you call it a "room" as oppesed to a closet? It's very frightening to sense someone in "there"...
You're all bloody sad. Get MSN. If you're so interested in the place just bloody go there, and sit in this 'broom closet'
From Laura and James
Yes, we're sad for having a discussion about an interesting place.
It's a much better use of our time to abuse strangers on the internet.
Thank you, I have seen the error in my ways and will now commence my new life in the manner you have suggested.
