Brick And Wood

Brick And Wood

Light streams onto another fireplace in an adjoining room; there only seemed to be four or five separate rooms on each floor.

I think this is my favorite picture, theres something so beautiful about all the brick in there.
Motts the colours you've captured in these rooms are just awesome. Right down to the bright green of the plantlife hanging above. Beautiful shot!
Awesome lighting in this shot!
It looks like a brick cave.
any of you guys seen amityvile horror? this reminds me of the basement with the secret torcher hall
i love how the shadows and light are so perfect and stunning
Looks like a great place to make a scarey movie,
I pass the hospital to and from college. I tend to sit on the top deck of the bus to try and get a look in through the entrance. It looks like they haven't quite demolished it all yet. I'm seeing a lot of rubble and new houses at the moment.
This is great..The lighting is perfect and it feels like I could just reach out and touch the bricks. Mother nature has added a hint of foliage to top it off. Perfect, and no graffiti. I love it.
Love this shot....Great light
I wish I were there right now.
this place will be restored, until then keep away. thanks
me and my mate went over there not that long ago to look at the two estate lakes(fishing recce!)the house looked to be covered in scaffolding, maybe that arsehole building firm are finally restoring the house !anyway got confronted by security dude and his alsation and told to clear off, the knob wouldnt even talk to us.dont even think bovis homes own the land where house and lake are as building site is other side of metal fencing.
THE BUILIDING MAY BE AMAZING. I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH PAST RESIDENTS WHO WERE MOVED FROM ST.MARGARETS. THE PLACE AND SOME STAFF WERE CRUEL. THEY LIVED A TERRIBLE LIFE.LET US NOT FORGET THAT.
No Bovis don't own the hall or the lakes, the horrible security guard who I met was the same, rude and threatening, even if he did talk to you he wouldn't have been able to tell you anything about the hall or orinimental lakes cause I doubt very much if he even knows anything about it, he didn't seem that intelligent to me!!
I just hope he's telling the truth on the above message and they are going to restore it and not accidentally knock it down!!!
re:Janet Welford's comment. My dad worked at St Margaret's for many years. I can't speak for all the staff but he was the most kind and considerate nurse I could wish to treat me were I ill.
Verry beautiful place. Shame that it was abodoned.
The Main Hall, was used as offices, i.e the Wages Clerk etc. etc. when I worked at St Margaret's in the 70's. There was a small building attached to the left hand side of the Hall that was used as the Mortuary.
