All Right! I've got the afternoon off, AC cranking, and new pictures. It doesn't get much better that this!
Hey, the first for me, landing near the top for a comment. I love this staircase, looking almost like fresh gloss paint. The railing is what really grabs my attention. Nice photo, Mr. Motts!
ooh! i've been really looking forward to this gallery - this hospital is only 30 minutes down the road from me. sadly it seems i'm either too late or i'm going to have to get a move on to see it in real life....
W00t new gallery! I love how the staircase looks nearly perfect, except for a few crumblies up top.
Motts~ I wouldn't be surprised if you every toyed with the idea of being an architect. I just LOVE your staircase pics! Well, and your window ones, and the hallways, and the doorways...I just really love seeing these things from your perspective! I would love to see what it would look like if you designed a building. : )
simply beautiful
Are those solid marble? Sweet in any case.
Do they really destroy all of these gorgeous railings?? People would pay huge money for those, they are so beautiful. :-(
This is beautiful!
I LOVE THIS ONE AND THE TITLE IS PERFECT!
this is the room where my friends claim they saw someont running up the stairs. kinda odd cos i did feel odd in there...and im really not sperstitious. do anything for you Sir Motts?
Motts---Those stairs, are they marble-topped, or all marble? Personally, I think they're marble topped....

Ladyhawke04008--From your 7/18 comment...If Motts designed a building, it would cost millions, if not more...They would have to search the world over to find the builders capable of creating a building to ~Motts' ~ spec's!!
Tony C. ~ Well, then we all need to win lotteries, so he can get started!!! : )
He could call it the Opacity Asylum and we could all just hang out there. That way we'd all be right there at his beck and call, and bug about when he's going to post new pics. "Are they done yet? Are they, huh?...huh?...huh?" Hmmmm. why does the door to his office have that drawbridge up and moat in front of it? Mannnnn....he thought of EVERYTHING in his design!
Absolutely stunning
alright motts a new gallery a new hospital
and some time to kill
things couldent get much better ^_^
You would have had to post pics when I'm under an extreme timeline wouldn't 'cha?

In all seriousness, I love your stairway photographs, and outside of the angels climbing up to "Hell" this is my favorite of yours.
beautiful as usual Mr. Motts
Thank you for another new gallery Mr. Motts!! Ed from Oregon
as allways nice job motts
Great shot Motts.... You do fine work.
I can't believe they will be knocking down something this beautiful. It really makes me sick.
I have a thing about staircases anyway, so this is an intriguing shot for me. Nicely done.
this looks like something they could referbish!
This staircase is really spooky. It reminds me of one I had dreamt about! Very beautiful in a non-beautiful way
Mr. Motts, Please tell me they aren't going to distroy this one also???? like St. Mragarets Hosp. Is just tearing me up. Wouldn't you like to see the Hanging Gardens of Babalyon, The Colssus at Rhodes and the rest that are gone??? I'd even like to see the nose back on the Sphinx. What is wrong with people???
Well said, nevermore. Well said. I too would like to see the nose back on the hanging garden of babylon and I think it's a crying shame so much brilliant design work is going under the wrecking ball in the uk and the usa. We here have nothing of historical value except the laws of our parliament, therefore nothing worth salvaging really.
Unfortunately, most of society is more interested in sprinting forward instead of standing still and admiring the beauty of the past. Most people dont see these buildings for what they really are, only what they were used for.
i was a domestic at severalls for years as a young girl, those railings were hard work to keep clean!
p.s but beautiful.
Motts, the awesom beauty as you have shown through out your galleries we have alll become subservient like in a fan base whole!!!
to think i had the privilege of climbing these a time when all was well
is that stair case still there if so were can i find it?
My God, that's beautiful. I wonder if it's fallen to the wrecking ball by now. Heart breaking to see it destroyed.
To know something as breathtaking as this has probably been destroyed makes me sick. A grand photo, Mr. Motts, simply grand.
Beautiful!!
People care more about the staircase than the hundreds of patients who probably checked in here, and didn't check out.
