Abandoned in Infrared

Abandoned in Infrared

Another shot off the top of the water tower, administration is located on the far left side.

I didn't get to see all of the complex, but I was definitely satisfied at the amount I managed to see there.

Damn, what a view! Another great set!
the scope of the place isa sick, it's like a little town out there lol. great set again motts!
Another awesome gallery. It's always sad to see these places torn down, and to be there when it was happening? I would have been depressed the whole trip. :)
Awesome gallery Motts!!!
Just beautiful, Motts! Love the different techniques you did with the film.
So glad you made it home safe!
As always, you blow me away with your IRs, and this one just kicks ass!
This looks like a scene out of a movie. What a view!
I don't think you could ever take a bad pic, Motts. Thanks for never letting me down and for another great gallery.
Well, I'm gobsmacked. Great ending shot!
It's official...I'm in love with IR! Beautiful gallery, Motts! You left me speechless for a lot of your shots and that doesn't happen very often!

that place is huge. great picture, and thanks for another great gallery too.
I can't begin to wrap my head around just how massive this place must be. Terrific shot to end this gallery with Motts, thank you for another fantastic gallery!
Have to agree with the above....a great shot to end the gallery with!
Now is the ENTIRE place being torn down or just the burned-out sections?
Wow, gorgeous. You can still make out the little details; this is a GREAT shot.
WOW IT LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE TOWN, SO AWSOME!
Beautiful
Can you make a wallpaper of this one? Please? :)
wow, thats a truly breathtaking pic.
This was wonderful. I can't wait to see the rest of the collections.
Geez dude, what a place and what a picture! It is frortunate that you are capturing so many of these places before they are gone forever! And for that we all Thank You!!!!
Just simply beautiful... I feel like I'm beginning to wake up from a deep sleep, and I'm starting to pull away from this peaceful dream. This is the place that my mind takes me to in my world of dreams. When it knows I need to go to this quiet place, so I can find that inner peace, so that I can get through my waking hours in life.
Breathtaking gallery, as usual. Your bittersweet photography evokes feelings of melancholy. You are so appreciated, Motts! And thank-you, alias, as well! Like Peat said, thank you for immortalizing these places. Without your photographs, we would have no memories or images of these beautiful places.
Oh Crap! My last post sounds like a York Peppermint Pattie commercial! LOL! Oh well, got caught up in the moment. STILL feel that way though!
A really good view there.. Nice gallery!
wow, remindes me of the towns that I imagine while reading stephen king
is there a way to join and reserve user names?
You can join the Forum and then the user names are set, but there are a lot of people who post here on a one-shot deal and they use all sorts of names . . .
I smell a wallpaper!
Love the title and the picture - so surreal!
OUTSTANDING Mr. Motts! Thank You!

FANTASTIC SET OF PICTURES! I was surprised there was no lone chair pics in this batch
Great set, Motts, I especially like the last infrared shot. My only complaint: Where's the signature lonely chair shot????
Thanks Ed from Oregon
Truly amazing!!!
I loved this album... I think it must have been the danger element involved. But other than that, I am sad for the demolition going on, especially with that last shot.
This amazing photo should be made into a desktop background... Anyone agree? =D
these pictures have brought back a lot of very
sad and upsetting times for me
I sincerely hope each and every one of you who look and appreciate these amazing pictures and beautiful architecture NEVER EVER forget what this asylum was REALLY about.
A hospital for very unwell and in some cases very disturbed people,
The LUCKY ones like me live to tell the tale. The others are sadly no longer with us.
Dont forget this was my home for 4 plus years, for many many oeople this was their home for 10 20 30 and even 40 years!.
i have to say a big thank you to mr motts for ending this chapter and 4 years of my life with the most amazing and poignant picture.
i have spent the last hour or so in tears remebering what REALLY went on behind these closed doors
THANK YOU motts. YOU ARE A LEGEND!
