Great perspective!
looks like a very high ceiling but i guess Lynne is right and its just a matter of perspective
The ceilings were pretty tall, about 10 feet or so, reminded me of a Kirkbride building... then I felt a pang of homesickness! :)
Oh! Oh! Even worse with all of them being torn down this year! 8`-(
Whoa, I LOVE all the citrus colour in this one!

Is it just me (more than likely!) or does the paint crack and peel differently over there?? LOL
scary, like someone is staring down at someone else, huddled in a corner of that room
Makes you wonder if some poor patient who was experiencing delusional issues might have thought those WERE eyes staring at him/her all day long.
When I was a kid, th ereally older homes had ceilings at least 8' high. That's why alot of people started using drop-ceilings.
-shudders-

Creepy in a way.
once again i believe the high ceilings are common in older european buildings and in earlier US buildings since they are or european influence .
Don't go out into the light!
MUST GET OUT, FEEL ENTRAPPED!!!!
Big Brother is watching.
The Third Sign
And God said,
Return to the Source through sin's
Temptation.
Under the Watchful eye of the demon,
wander alone in the formless Chaos.
Only then will the Four Atonements
be in alignment.
OY! How'd you get into my bedroom!?
Such a sense of foreboding in this...
I have been to Hellingly, and this door was actually 4ft off the floor, for what purpose? Who knows. If anyone knows, then I would be interested to find out why. anyway Hellinly is amazing, the morgue and the main hall are cool, and if you go round to the back of the stage theres a pathology lab!
I don't believe it's a door - I think it's a window cover, as in the description.
I think that ''door'' maybe a window. It seems as though it may be a punishment room of some kind preventing the patient to have any social means by blocking their view or maybe a space where experiments may have took place? That is what I would have believed whether what I have said it a load of rubbish or not I don’t know
this is an amazing capture :)
Punishment, Experiments... sigh
