Wandered Far from the Office

Wandered Far from the Office

An office chair in strangely decent shape was in this kitchen/storage area.

Nice contrast between the old building & the 'new' chair.
I hope they don't put him in lockdown for eloping!
Not only strangely decent shape, but it's fairly new I'd say by the style!

Lynnie, chairs don't elope, they live in sin. Like paperclips in a drawer. :-)
HEY !!!! thats my chair !!! well ... very similar at least ... since im seating on mine :)
wow it looks like the chair is there for interrogation lol.
Is that mold all over the floor? This room looks pretty huge and spacious.
Anyone seen Session 9 ?
This room looks a lot like one of the rooms at Danvers they filmed in to me.
ahhhh the lone chair shot
yea but its aswival chair hey motts did you take it for a spin??
Well that was utterly RANDOM.

Seriously, amazing contrast.
Very, very strange...the chair looks so new. And its not like someone could have just been spinning it around the hallways, the floor is in too bad of shape.
I was sitting here thinking "What? No lone chair shot?" But Mr Motts would NEVER let us down.
Looks like the gap in the seat is a mouth saying "Uh I think I made a wrong turn somewhere...I am way too young to be in this place!!"
wheres the computer ??
This room (minus the chair) reminds me of the bathroom in Saw!
Guess he got tired of his old job back at microsoft so he swivled over here to england for a little RnR
From the abuse that chair has recieved, id say it was used for more than seating.... ;-)
Motts, how do you deal with the mold in places like this? I guess you wear a mask? Anything specific you could say about what health precautions you have to take in a setting like this would be really interesting to me.
I wear a proper mask around friable asbestos in non-ventilated areas. The mold gets to me every now and then, but it's usually just a stuffy nose for a few days.

My personal methods should not be confused with a safe method of preventing asbestosis, toxic mold, or any other airborne disease.
Perhaps an incidental referance to the mindset of some mentally ill patients. Something so out of place, like their personalities and opinions in the world they are/were in.
i agree Sam. utterly unexpected
Motts continues to express his faintly distrubing lone chair fetish via exceptional photography.
Ive seen Session 9 and what a creepy movie, but it drew me in ,i think that was the creepy part.Has anyone been to Waverly Hills Sanitarium in Kentucy?
They recorded a ghost running through the hallway on infra-red camara on ghosthunters in that Kentucky hospital. Lots of funny shadows as well. i think that should be your next photoshoot Motts.
haha i live near Waverly, and lemme tell you that place is definately lively. No matter where you go, if you stare into the darkness, you can see shadows of people walking through the corridors. The only bad thing is, Motts, you cant just enter the place cuz they have motion detectors and cameras and guards but you could schedule an overnight stay, and take some good pix that way.
