Another beautiful haunting shot. Motts, I am in awe and I'm not done looking yet. You are amazing!!!!!
BLUE .... ISH
WOW! What a room! And that light fixture that is not a soap dispencer! It looks like the room was just closed the other day! What room was this? (and that carpet...?)
Wow Motts you did that "thang" with the light again! I swear you must camp out in these places for days, just waiting for the exact moment.....
That is not a light or a soap dispenser.

It is in fact a UFO!
wow that rug is something, it really caught my eye right off the bat, lol. i could just see myself sitting and staring at that rug for awhile.
I'm in love. This is the room where I would put my bed right by the two windows up aganst the wall. Or not even have a bed just a mattress on the ground so i can sit comfortably and read books all day long.
You know, this may need to be a wallpaper . . .
oooh pretty blue, i'm surprised the carpet is intact
Motts, what does the title mean?

Do you mean "der Geist der stets ver·neint ?" (the spirit that ever denies)?
Or he could have just meant spirits
I love how you've captured the light filtering through the window panes and how it becomes a spotlight to the dancing swirls of color from the designs on the rug.
that is an interesting carpet design. and the tall skinny windows are awesome. i love the lighting too
Great Lighting and color ...subtel..
This has got to be one of my favorite shots on the entire site. I like the feeling in this pic...amazing.
What beautiful carpet. Awesome shot.
I am in agreement. It's so pristine, it doesn't even look like it belongs with the other photos.
Indeed a wonderful shot, Motts. A rare carpet photo to boot.
Down at heel elegance would be a good description for this sot Beauty with a hint of decay .
This room doesn't look too bad; almost like a victorian atmosphere. I wonder whose room this was?
Hmm... They must have ordered their carpet from the same guys who sell carpet to the Casinos in Las Vegas... I have seen that pattern...

Nice shot Mr. Motts.
My eye was drawn to the carpet in this pic. Look how clean it is. Like someone knew you were coming Mr. Motts and did it up just for you
Mott's, The window facing front, It looks like its covered from behind?
Spirtual, for some strange reason first word that cam eto mind. Is that stained glass in that indow or a board? I wasn't sure.
great shot! i love the shadows and the carpet, its really nice
It almost looks like someone has been cleaning up somewhat in this room, maybe a fan of the carpet? The pattern reminds me of the ocean during a storm. It gives the room movement. I actually have similar widow shelf boxes in my living room! That modern light fixture/UFO/soap dispenser looks out of place with the more Victorian decor.
Hey Motts? Ever done any paranormal investigating in these places? Next time bring an EMFmeter, that light might not be just "light". lol.
Beautiful Motts. Love the carpet. But I'm glad it's not in my house. :)
Yes I believe the window was boarded, and no I don't believe in ghosts :)
Wooaaaah!
it must be very terrifying at night ^^

it's beautiful!
See? Now, to me, this looks like a crazy-cool corner in a kitchen. With funkadellic carpet to boot.

Breath taking colours, Motts!
Ok maybe I just never noticed, but I don't recall ever seeing a rug in these places. Motts, any idea what this room was...office (which would explain the rug)?
It was difficult to tell what the function of many of the rooms were, but there was quite a lot of carpeting in the buildings.
im suprised the carpet is still there thats a great picture
Amazing! Compared to some of the other rooms here, this one's still in great shape, albiet a little messy.
The colors are just beautiful...
The floor is intact! Awesome design and the light through the window looks like moonlight...Wicked ^^
This room looks almost untouched by time. The carpet is still pristine.
This is a great picture. I love the color and the rug is great!
I find this shot kinda creepy... Not sure why.
absoloutely haunting...
Like the pic it gives me the blues.LOL
maybe it's from looking at a bunch of hokey ghost sites for like forever now but i'd swear that it looks like there's someone in that window in the middle of the room.
We Brits love carpets like that .We put carpet in our bogs (johns) lol
Wow. It still has carpeting? How awesome
who is the gohst, ican't se the ghost of the picture, sorry
i think ghost are real.
sorry for my englisch i'm german
The slanted rays of light thru the window is mesmerizing and very melancholy.
Yes, it is a very haunting picture for me. It reminds me of summer for some strange reason. I can imagine being in that room alone with absolute silence and feeling depressed. Beautiful picture by the way.
Katrina, Ya did GREAT!!! Keep them coming. I live in the US and those Brits. can't speek good english either. HA HA HA!!!! Now cool down guys!!! I WAS JUST KIDDING!!!!! I couldn't resist!!!! PLEEZE DON'T HIT ME!!!
As far as the photo goes, among all the decay, this room remains almost prestine. Hummmm
This room must have been for someone, or some activity that was really importaint (the cornesses, ya know they are back in vogue) . Maybe where they took the family members to inform them of the death of a loveone .
Eck......! It's a room that Martha Stewart would probably approve of. It has it's powder dry, 50's housewife appeal. Pink is the nemesis of all colors!
AHA...where is the ghost? I can´t see him...
sorry my english isn´t very good...Im from Germany...hmmmmm....;-)
that light is just so rad and that carpet is so mine
the room is so pristine because of the Big soap dispenser!!
love the pristine cornices, I say ! awfully spooky place.
they`re wooden pelmets, not cornices..D`oh
I used to live in a house that was the smae color of pink, although I was told the color was actually "salmon" LMFAO. And what color is a salmon???

Awesome shot, I love how the shadows from the unboarded window form crosses in the borded up ones.
That's the most awesome photograph I've seen so far. Good Lord Almighty, it's gorgeous.
Wow! This one sent a chill up my spine!
i love the pattern on the floor.
the carpet is peritty cool looking
