I really like this shot. The bright yellow, the muted brick red, the green vegetation, and whatever makes up those lines works altogether in one shot.
I think it needs tschotckes, and some recessed lighting, It'll spiff it right up.

Sorry I couldn't resist
It's so...disheveled. With all the textures. Those aren't bricks on the left side, are they?
Nice....real nice!! I wonder where the wires came from???
The round window in the door reminds me of a 50's diner.
looks like the short ends of bricks, as opposed to the long sides of them.(?)
I like how the one thing in the room that remained new and forever young was the door handle. The very item that lead people to either their nightmares or dreams have remained pristine while the structure, something that shelters life from the elements, dies a slow death.

[/sappy observation :-P]
Motts, are the plants silk, or are those veggies that are coming in from outside?
Tim Caplan~ Interesting thoughts about the door handle! I like your interperation of it.
And where did this door go to> Reminds of an old kitchen door.

Thankies <3
Twug, I'd say the greenery is outside salad!
You're welcome! : )
Thankee kindly, Jude!
At first glance, I thought that door was CARDBOARD. -is lame- Yes. I like the cheerful walls. Yellow. Pretty. =)
How long has this place actually been abandoned? It appears much worse for wear. Maybe that awful English weather has beaten it down. This shot is an excellent reminder of Mother Nature's power.
This seems kind of playful, and again, brings back memories of a school where I competed in a music festival. For some reason, this room makes me think of the warm up room I had. Bot wow...it's amazing what some large, open spaces and good lighting will do, eh?
sam, whacha got against that poor door? I love that door! realy! dont know why, its kinda a sad little door, but i love that door!
some color experts think that yellow is a nauseating color, so i don't recommend copying the design
More mossy carpeting!
I've been into Hellingly myself, to do photoshoots. We took pics in this exact same place! It's so weird seeing it again, sends a shiver down my spine...
I love the vegetation growing! makes it look even more abandoned
