Is this where Ringo worked?
Damn Motts I love your choice of titles!
Another possible title: Thairapy
Jo, how long has it been since I proposed to you? ;-)
I don't know, it's been a while though.
"Sheer Madness and Sweeny Todd" all rolled into one room! love that tile on the wall.
What a wonderful photo. The tile is looking pretty good.
I don't think I want my hair done there...
Ouch wouldn't have wanted to go there
Unfortunately, the last client the chair held was the bride of Frankenstein. She was not exactly pleased with how her hair turned out, and she let it show... : )
I really don't think I'd want ANYONE to sit in that chair.
the color and lighting in this shot are amazing.
maybe ive read read vogue one too many times but i can see this as the setting of an avante garde fashion shoot.
Motts, your pics are amazing! Thanx for sharing! :) This asylum is spooky, but exciting!

Don't want to get my hair do in there either. LOL!
the lonely chair not so lonely, a nice hairdryer keeps it company.
damn I was suppose to get my hair done!
Nice! I'm loving that we get to see some English photos, somehow feels different knowing it's actually somewhere near me rather than the other side of the world!

The question now though: How long before someone starts speculating how it was used as an instrument of torture? lol!
Pardon the irreverance here. I look at that photo, and the set up sketch for the Monty Python Lumberjack Song. pops into mind. Remember the blood stained barber bit.
hehe im not even going to say but its deffently a keeper
Awesome, a hair salon!

I can just picture some funny moments in there. Haha.

That's totally cool. Bet it must have felt good, washing away any grunge and having your hair styled. Poor guys though... lol.
lol Isabeats!
Hmmn, there's something so...different about this place, than the other shots you've taken. It seems so surreal, like a movie set or something, you know?

This is a lovely shot. I especially love the crisp line between the plastered rotting wall and the tiles. And sinks you say? As in...not smashed by vandals? How interesting. Not what I'm used to seeing!
the whole time I was reading the commets and looking at the picture i couldn't get buetiyschool dropout out of my head. I like the tile on top they could be used as a design in todays stile having them all glued togetter that would be pretty. sorry just gabbering.
nice chair xxx pretty cool!!!
Look what that high powered blow dryer did to that room!
I don't like it.

There's no light fixture over the sink.
interesting photograph..I like how many different colors and textures and details there are, isabeats, I like your title idea haha
sort of looks like that chair from pee wees playhouse.
Wow i love the tile. Lol, does that bucket have a wad of hair tubling out of it!
I admit I am a newbie to this abandon building stuff, but it I am really surprised how quickly these buildings get completely destroyed by the elements. I mean, the place just closed in 1994.
An all natural way to dye your hair black???....lol
oh thank God i wasn't the only person who thought of Sweeney Todd...*shudder*
Next please:D
something for the weekend?
Nice black tiles, I want them in my bathroom
a long, long time ago I worked in a B-shop that was in a hospital which had an attached nursing home. This makes me thing of those poor people in the nursing home, whose hair I did. Brings back memories.
that place has so seen its last hair cut, but still seem to smeel like one
Hehe Id love to sit in the chair, it would make for great modelling shoots
Ok where did my soap dispenser go....cause you know I can't find it like anywhere......oh were oh were did you go.......LOL
Wow, at least they got their hair done.....
WHO WANTS TO GET THEY HAIR DID??
