The "almost" lonely chair.....
What a shot! :)
there was another picture named the same thing i think.
Heh, I have to start getting more creative!
Ha! Last time you tried to get creative, people didn't understand your puns. ;-)
Too funny, Motts!
The chair for a reject... now that I think of the name of the picture, it seems so sad and lonely.
he's got a fellow chair in the next room, although, it looks like that chair in the next room has no seat part. no seat=no company.
Hmm.. my first thought was that some kid (after all it's a school..) would have put it there to climb on it and see secrets happening in the room behind the window on the left side...
My god, this place really had some great color for you to work with. You're so great, Motts.
This reminds of my lunch times spent in detention...*coughs* I mean...watching my friends in detention, as the rest of us laughed in the bright sunshine.....
is there not a lot of sitting going down.....
I have never seen a window with glass on the inside of a building or house....
hold on a minute my flats got 2 windows inside it, now you say it , its pretty weird. ive got a weird flat.........
It might have been once an open porch or they use the window for observation.
It's as though the chair is waiting quietly for someone to sit on it. I love the feeling I get when I look at this picture!
love this shot, been awhile since i have been on here. i love the "almost lonely chair" as it was put by Jude.
This is the 'Chair of Dread".

The window behind the seated man or woman leads to a hollow, empty darkness.

The window in front of the seated man or woman promises a land of sun-light and gardens.

The curse of the "Chair of Dread" is that once the poor soul sits down that very same person can never leave the "Hallway of Purgatory"

Signed: An American Soldier in Germany.
where is Margate State school located? I need this place for a vampire novel
My guess is that the window in the wall was used for observation. Given my prior knowledge of the school, the lonely little chair is sitting in the middle of a corridor that connected to large dormitory rooms where the young male residents of the school would sleep with their beds lined up in rows.
Fascinating picture. Very lonely, really. The doors open but someone would have to sit there alone.
just catchin some rays
