I usually don't give these kind of comments, but this picture is just ~perfect~. The lighting, the colours, the background. Possibly my favorite in this gallery.

The colour of the rusted ceiling tiles is great...added with the open screens, makes this a really nice shot!

That's really beautiful in a twisted odd way. It's like something out of an evil Alice and Wonderland yet it's peaceful as well....strange. Great shot!

I worked these wards as a high school/college student and wandered around a lot. Understand the comments about impact of visual pics, and agree they're impressive, but there was a lot of real life going on here - even I appreciated that at a young age. Just wanted to inject a real world thought in memory of the many folks that lived here in a different world.

A lot of sites have very similar windows with screens like this. It's really odd to me how similar these places are to each other after you've been to enough of them.

I don't see any thick metal grating. That alone lessens the creepiness. These seem to be normal screens.
