Skylight

Mounds of pigeon feces were piled everywhere and filled the top floor with that overpowering, sour smell one finds in some of these places.

Eerie shot. I love the lighting.
Yea, Lynne...I think it's the dark door in that outter hallway that makes it so eerie...
Yuk, Motts!! It's Birdie EEEWW!!! At least it's not smeared on the wall...
I love the play of light and shadow in this one. I'd have been gagging from the smell you describe Motts.....
Sounds nasty, but this is a beautiful shot. Love how it makes one side of the walls on the right side seem skewed. And the texture of what I assume are ceiling tiles on the floor. Very nice.
I LOVE this shot, Motts! The lighting is amazing! Gorgeous!
Very cool photo Motts, as said before, superb lighting effect.
Great shot Motts, and your description adds the "Smell-a-Vision" touch to our enlightenment.
i love that floor! ilike the patterns between the wall and the rest of it, its so cool looking i cant smell the bird sh**t
It looks like a river of tears running down the wall and in turn, casts a sort of underwater reflection to the floor. Plus all the colors are complimentary and make me almost hear the sea crashing outside. =)
"Flowers in the attic" can't you see her hanging? POOOOOOOR bride
Very Dark and strong. It has a very eeerie feel to it. Horror at its best! :)
Such a powerful image! The lighting is so strong. It is the only thing left that offers movment in such a lonely place. I close my eyes and all i see is that haunting source of the living light.
I love the light above the doorway, and the color in this shot......
I WAS IN HERE TODAY!! i swear its messed up...
we heard weird noises in the hallways. we ran our asses outta there.
nice shot but could have done without the description of the smell! lol
A patient from nearby private county club Mclean/"Mcmed" psychiatric hospital escaped in the late 80's and had the misfortune of wandering onto the Met State grounds. They held her at Met State temporarily and when she got back to Mclean she said "you know, this place isn't all that bad."
O.O Wow...About a month or so ago I had an odd dream with a skylight in it just like this one. It even had that creepy glow to it -shivers-
Good thing they haven't figured out how to post odors on the Web yet...LOL!
I love the creepy, bluish light being cast onto that doorway. Nice shot.
oooooh, it looks like a door from Star Wars. >__< I like it!!
