I recommend that people not go to Metro anymore due to some rumors I have heard and some recent events that have taken place. The biggest rumor was that my friend said he was talking to a police officer on the Waltham PD about the place, and he said that they found a man dead in one of the buildings, and combined with many tips of people saying that they have seen many people going into the place, the Police will be installing security cameras all around the place to catch trespassers. Also, the event that happened was that on of the buildings, where the medical records was set on fire, suspected arson. It is currently under investigation. Be Careful!
There was an unfortunate arson incident at the CTG building, I believe. Read the article here: http://www.opacity.us/...t_arson_in_blaze.htm
I can tell already this will be another sad gallery of pics. Hope some of the comments cheer me up.
Nancy, I love your comments, I can feel your anger about all the waste, its so true. Y ou mentioned something about other sites. Can you share some? Thank You.
I'm really into history and , I guess, the way things used to be. This site has sooo much to look at and is so interesting. I type in anything I read about or hear about; old amusement parks, battleships. Don't know what area you're from, but Dark in the Park.com is agood site. Mostly for me because it relates to my area., eastern U.S. My library consisits of archeology , history, and of course anything tru.
Anyone got an update on which buildings are standing? It mite be easy to 'legally' view MetState from this new parkway they are hopefully gonna be opening... dunno what the means for the future of the buildings though...
does anyone know where "One Flew Over the Coocoos nest "was flimed?
Oregon State Hospital
In so many ways Thank you .
just stumled on to this site, oh my god I cannot believe the way the old place now looks, I worked there from 77 until 90 when I moved to the west coast and now work at guess; METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL! it is even older than Mass and yes it has its vibes as well.
metropsychgirl: What ward at Waltham's Met State did you work at?
Awesome shot. It almost looks as if the Medical Building was photoshopped into the picture because it looks so out of place amidst all of the vegetation.
well i live thea now its now apartments
