Just a little side note, we got let out without a fine for only one reason... We told them that we didn't go inside of the buildings (lie). We were told that if they would have seen us going into/leaving any structure on the Pennhurst property that we would have a fine of $500, and receive a trespassing citation for state and federal property. Also, we could run the risk of more things since 9/11 and that there are weapons on the grounds that belong to the military. We had to give them our licences, and we opted to let them search our backpacks and cameras... As long as you think ahead and keep the stuff you take in your inner coat pockets, and take the memory card out of your cameras when you are walking around you will be fine... Just use your head and be polite to the guards and army people!!
What I do find weird is that they would store anything in there.... I mean, they know that people sneak in all the time, theyre not exactly doing anything to secure those buildings, so why would they put anything of any value inside of them? Pennhurst has always held a weird interest for me... and it only gets weirder.
I wish I could get into these buildings but it seems just a bit too dangerous.
I dont need to see inside it, as much as I would love to have a hand in finding out a certain few things about it (I know it has many, many secrets) , just seeing the very outside would be enough I believe.
I think it is bigger than Kutztown U.
2. I am in the National Guard and and worked in this building for several years.
The majority of the property is owned by The Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs. The National Guard is not there to keep trespassers out, it is in fact a National Guard Readiness Center, where training is performed. The ADA unit referred to by Scared_dude is no longer there, it has been replaced by a Field Artillery unit and an Engineer unit.
BTW, THE EARTH IS FLAT.
all because I had a hat on.
Well Mr Mott's you brought back memories for me with this photo lol.
