I love how the light and shadow play on the colour in this one.

Hmmm no dancing pirate feets behind the curtain in this one???
"I will take curtain #1 Bob, lets see what our contestant has won today"

Its a brand....new......CAR (ha ha ha) had to sorry
So old, yet untouched. Wild.
Pay no attention to the man behind that curtain!
Ok...the curtain looks so...solid...like it's not really a curtain but cement made to look like a curtain...like some modern art thing...wow...I really love the depth of this one with all the shadows and the play of the light...
DONT DROP THE SOAP LOL
All you have to do is put it in the washer with a little soap and bleach -- that's my handy hint for the day.
Bleach? That curtain may have been hanging for twenty years. Just a little bleach may cause it to fragment into ten thousand little pieces.
man, cleaner than my shower!
One word...plastics!
Polymers don't rot away. Not in a million years...literally!
Looks good enough to take home and use in my shower..i wont wash it so i can get that feeling of insane lunitics watching me during the shower.
Ya know, there is some irony to the fact that several people have recently commented that they are unhappy that a number of us have used this Comments section in the past (before the Forum was developed) to banter back and forth with each other, like that was a bad thing. Then someone makes an incredibly insensitive comment like the one right above this and the same folks don't even let out the tiniest peep.

So the message I am getting is that having fun and being sociable is not a good thing and "draws away from" this site and yet derogatory, misspelled comments like the one above by "none"/andrew don't create the first bit of concern.

Funny old world, isn't it?
Lynne, I finally figured it out; they only want to read the comments they like, and think the ones they don't like should be removed. Now, what to do with a post like the one immediately preceding me? It references the orientation of one of our members, and could be taken as derogitory (although it is not, in itself, a negative comment). Should it be removed because I don't want to read it?
It gets deleted because it has nothing to do with the photo or any other comments here :-)
Lynne and all the other regulars, please do not stop commenting - To me it's a part of Opacity.us and second to Mr. Mott's work, it is what keeps me coming back here.
I still say we enhance your enjoyment of the picture, but I also understand where some might not want our thoughts penetrating their brain. It is possible to view the photos without reading the comments.
Sorry I started this with my comments about the shower curtain. Actually, I'm curious as to where the drain is. That is obviously bathroom tile -- maybe it slopes down.
Another thought about "comments" -- I work in a law firm, so I'm usually in a bad mood all day -- when I have this site up and read some of the fun comments, it lightens my day
Yes I agree Janice. I work in 911 and the work I do is not always the happiest but sometimes I come here and start laughing out loud and my co-workers all look at me like I'm a little weird.
I love reading the comments, too, and I know all the shots are fantastic, but sometimes it's just so sad knowing what people went through there, you know?
can ya feel it Nancy? The loss the confussion the pain loneliness...the mistreatment....the good willed treatments....alll In a day when psychology was a new emerging experimental science......wonderful photo archiveing mr Motts! keep up the good work!
looks like the shower in my old campground it was a good shower though
I've been coming to this website for about a year now and I absolutely love Mott's work, but some of the comments are distasteful and have absolutely nothing to do with the preceding picture. Keep your thoughts and comments in good taste and about the picture only!!!!! If you wish to talk about something else visit a chat room!!!!!!
Melissa,

Right under each picture is a phrase that says, "Click here to hide the comments under the photos." I am fairly sure this would give you a much more pleasant experience than being forced, as you currently appear to be, to scroll down and read all of our truly tasteless comments, most of which we took great pride at the time in writing, and, in fact, the more tasteless they were, the happier we were. The comments, tacky as they are, were the result of a group process and most of us (i.e., the group) enjoyed making them and enjoyed reading them. Matter of fact, sometimes just for kicks we sneak back and re-read them and think we were pretty dang funny in our own pathetic ways, even when we weren't. Heck, ESPECIALLY when we weren't. :-)
I find my comments to be gems without peer. Mildew, What's Mountain's brother Milton's nickname?
Lynne, I've been coming here for some time and I read each and every comment on each picture and I think you guys are hilarious!

Although Motts work is brilliant in itself, it wouldn't be quite as humorous if you guys didn't post here. I say, forget the haters and keep making hysterical comments about soap dispensers and lone chairs. I think you guys rock!
The only two people who have problems are none and melissa and i'm wiling to bet they're the same person.
Aww, phooey. I'm too busy looking at cool photos to hang around in a forum! ...yeah, why would anyone with a "comment problem" even bother scrolling down here?
