As usual, Motts, love those B&W shots....niiice!
Sorry for the double-post, but, what kind of floor is that? Is it wood tile? I noticed how they look warped....?
The floor looks exactly like a waffle, doesn't it? This room with all it's windows must have been so beautiful in it's day.....
I don't think it is a wood floor, it may be the old asbestos or asphalt tiles. I have see them do this over time.
Are those animals painted on the walls?
Backy I don't see any animals??
Stare into the center, a little to your right. There's an angry dog wearing a thick collar (that's what it looks like to me LOL)
Puddleboy... dude, quit freaking the hell outta me. Please.
I'm with you Jude, the floor does look very "waffle-esque" I was thinking that it looks like if you stepped on it you would find out it is made of cardboard and you would fall 10 stories down!
Puddleboy.. can I have some of whatever you are smoking?! LOL LOL LOL
Backy, I think I see it. Sorta.
I can see the dog and I can also imagine at least three faces. One woman in half profile just to the left of the dog, one face in full profile on the right near the black dot and one face near the lower window on the left. I'm not one of those "I see dead people"... but the longer I look at this picture the more faces I can imagine in the rotting paintwork.
I see the dog!
Looks like a lamb to me. It's amazing how damaged walls can show different pictures to different people.
Stunning! What a wonderful place to explore!
Beautiful shot...I love the light that is coming into the room...ahh, day room-it is...
It's amazing how they sterilized this complex, it looks like predators came in stole mostly everything that meant a damned thing.
It looks like those Rorschat (sp?) ink blot tests psychiatrists gave to mental patients
I can see the animals on the walls, now that you mention it. No cause for concern. If the animals leap from the walls and re-enact scenes from your favorite Disney movies, have your shrink adjust your meds!
Greatly apreciate it's tone and quality. It provokes a feeling of entrapment and loss of freedom.
I love the floor texture on this one. It's very detailed, and the whole shot is very cool. You can just picture people in wheelchairs and such painting or socializing.
Have any of you seen the movie "Slingblade"? This looks almost identical to the day room in the beginning of the movie.

It still looks inviting in a way, like you could pop up your folding lounge chair and read a good book by the window, take a nap, paint a picture, or even watch the TV!
I think that this one would make a good background... eh... it's up to you.
This one is brilliant.
May be asbestos tile. Any ladies for a dance? The floor is open!
