Colors

The colors here were bright and vivid, although not exactly complementing each other! This was a bathroom area, most of the fixtures were missing.

How amazingly clean the tile looks.
Wow, this room reminds me of easter eggs.
Easter colors DEFINATELY!!! Also looks like the CLEANING PERSON just finished.......???
**still have that, Lynne?**
Wow, shiny tiles! The walls in the forefront are the colours of watermelon, cool and refreshing. They just don't go together on walls, LOL!
Same green tile I have in one of the bathrooms in my 50's era house.
SLS, that green and also the pink, were very popular in bathrooms in the 50's. I'd love a 50's era home!
Those tiles held up great. I wonder what brand they were. If the company is still in business, they could use them in their advertising.
reminds me of easter colors, all the pastels you can handle, alot of places had these colors in their facilities, any rhyme or reason to that???
Whatcha mean, my little Antonio?

My grandma had her bathroom in those colors
Dammit Lynne, I had just gotten over the last time you posted that!!! Somehow, he seems more sinister with a feather duster than he did with an axe... jibblies!
Timeless Tile... Can withstand the passing of time and remain timeless...
Nothing like old bathroom tile :).
Wow those door in the foreground looks really nice...7 panels..pretty rare..usually that style of door has 5 panels..cool pictures..love this site mr. Motts!!!
All you fifties fans you took the words right out of my mouth! I am a 50's fanatic! I would LOVE to have tile like this in my home. I think that the torquoise and black tile in this photo ROCKS!!
Lynne darling you are the bestest!
Love ya, Lynne!
This whole place is amazingly clean! Did you bring your mop and broom motts? ;-)
Hey Lynne,
lol, I love to see what you come up with in your link posts... what a riot!
;)
makes you wonder who has been cleaning this place if it has been deserted all these years
What great colors! That place looks perfect for sitting around in eatting chocolates and drinking sodas. I really like the colors here, this place made an effort to look cheerful which is more than can be said for places like Pennhurst.
Great photo shop job Lynne, lol Mr. Motts goes on a Spring cleaning craze!
I REALLY LOVE THE TURQUOISE AND BLCK TILE AND THE ORIGINAL WOOD DOORS AND THE CHROME DOOR KNOBS, SO COOL.
Such interesting colours here! And its amazing how good of shape that tiling is in, the grout isn't even dirty! And the tiles are shiny!
wow it looks like this building was out of business for at least 10 years cause the tiles and doors look great! nice pic motts
pink, turquoise and yellow, not the colorcombination I would have chosen
Funny how the paint on the frame is crappy and the door isn't.
That is the tile in my Bathroom. I need more! Anyone know where I can get it?
Thanks

I still would like to know why they just abandone these places. Why just let them sit there like that?
Actually the pastel colors used in most hospitals were used for the calming effect it has on the psyche
rockabilly colors....hell my dorm was
dirtier than this!
wow, very vibrant colors. the tile looks eerily new.
They should have gotten arrested for using those color schemes!
Lordy, I'd feel real comfortable taking a leak in such a creative enviorment. It's got the right pastel tiles and the doors that just reek of no privicy.
i agree automntwin thats strange...
Those doors appear to be in near new condition.
how is there tile when the place was from 1901?? it looks newish!
Jeezers...it reminds me of a bathroom in an elementary school...in fact, it looks a little like the bathrooms in the school our sons (8 and 6) go to now,., but different colors! I should get a pic of the bathroom in their school! If you want to see BRIGHT colors...sheesh!
I often seem to find photos or even whole galleries I had somehow missed cruising this site. This is a great shot & Lynne's photographic contribution is hilarious. Good stuff.
