Ramps, Ramps, Ramps

Ramps, Ramps, Ramps

The floors, and even some of the buildings were all connected by gently sloping ramps, because most residents here could only move around in wheelchairs.

Not sure exactly what it is about this one, but I like it.
What's that darker object in the opening? (sorry, my eyes can't seem to make it out)
looks to be some sort of light fixture maybe or perhaps just a piece of the ceiling on it's last legs. that's my guess.
I want to race down the ramp!! whos with me ;-)
The hallway was littered with fallen ceiling lights and tiles, some were hanging off the ceiling.
love this pic....thanks Motts!
Wheelchair races?
haha I'M IN! I love ur Black and white pics Motts ^^
thats just the hallway to hell as you can see the light is at the top and the torn broken stuff collects as u go further into the DARK WORLD
This makes me think that your coming out of a bomb shelter from a nuclear holocaust.....Beautiful picture.
Very nice picture but makes you wonder how many went up and down this ramp. Sad.
Um...we have a place like this in Memphis. At the old City Morgue they used to roll cadaver down the chute to waiting hearses during the Yellow Fever epidemic....eery to say the least !!
When I used to make the rounds of the Medical Annex Bldg. belonging to the now defunct Lawndale Hosp.(Phila.) starting around 3 AM (my choice) I'll never forget the feeling as I'd enter the tunnel-like ramp.
This one went up a little ways, then there was a landing, then you'd turn 180 degrees and go up again and my thoughts were if any one had broken in, what am I getting into and when.
Wow--this shot reminds me of Grammar school; the open doors is where we would come in from recess, and walk down the ramp to the cafeteria ;o)
I would hate to have to up that ramp by myself in a wheelchair, that would suck!!
Imma go this way you can head back =D I will stick to the light.
This reminds me of that OLD (1980) commercial with Mean Joe Greene where the kid meets the football player in the tunnel like this one and Mean Joe Greene gives him his jersey...

(Not making myself seem old...but I was 9 when that commercial was new--not much older than that kid in the commercial)...
