Germination

Germination

The summer mold and moss thrived in this damp environment... I was greeted with this lovely chair upon entering.

Glad to see another update. Your work really leaves me wanting more and more.

Thank you for the work you do.
Ahh! Just what every home needs in their livingroom decor- a "natural" rug!
Everyone needs a little nature in their work space.
Reminds me of the shag carpeting in the house my family moved into in 1985...
I'd pay for carpeting like that...
Nice green glow, though it'd drive my allergies nuts to be in there :/
Great lighting, super colors.
I agree, Lynne! If it weren't for that wall, you'd think the chair was outside! Motts, what is that BLUE?!?! : p
It looks like heather.
Chia carpeting.
Ah, the lonely chair. Beautiful colors... I'm not sure if I could handle being surrounded by this much mold without a strong anti-histamine. You are very brave, Motts.
wow. look closely at the floor. it's like, a geographic map. the green mold the land and the blue on the side there is the ocean. haha and standing in the middle of the continent is a chair fit for a god. Very thought provoking picture, Motts.
Johnnsy, you hit the proverbial nail on the head! I too, was thinking outside, but missed the shoreline observation. The entire picture took on a new look for me!!! Thanks!
Definitely looks like a topographic map -- you can see the ocean and the green hills and the waves against the rocks.
love your minds, again very nice shot.
Yes! a new gallery(or 3)lol.
wow great shot as always love the colors and the mood the green gives off once again you give us great images motts :)
Whew! I still have to view all the old galleries as the resident "FNG" but I must say I am glad to see more!!
Looks slippery!
Tee hee! "Chia carpeting"! 8`-) Do they still sell those horrid "chia pet" things?
So all the green stuff on the floor is moss? How thick would you say it was, Motts?
the lone chair with funky carpet....LOVE IT!
Yes Lynne, They make all kinds of chias and chia herbs to. christmas time they were all over t.v.
I second Kelly Johnson's comment, thanks for all that always inspirational work! Perfect mood, mother nature is striking back (aah, it's sunny spring again over here..) and the composition makes me dream. Thanks you!
OHH! More galleries! I am so happy!!!
you stole my photo! i'm gonna get mad! waah!
So, Yaggy, where can we see yours?
With all the fungi around it, it's not really a lonely chair, is it??
For really creepy mold, check out "The Derelict" by William Hope Hodgson. And as for grass in strange places, check out the "grass car" image at www.randomimage.us.
One more grim and creepy mold story: William Hope Hodson's "A Voice in the Night". This and the above story are online at www.horrormasters.com. You won't mind the moldy walls and floors in Motts' photos as much after you read these stories!
Great picture, can't wait for the rest of the gallery!
I've visited here every so often, and posted a few times. Just let me say that I truly appreciate your artistic ability and the fortitude to keep this site up and running.
I guess it's true that Motts considers no gallery complete without an exquisite lone chair shot.
somone OR somthing is sitting in that chair.......you just cant see it
That is beautiful.
wow the colors are beautiful.
Wow you guys sure do a good job. Maybe you will get some more pics
What a lovely, rich green. Un Natural...

My lame attempt at french. Oh well it's been almost three years since I've last taken french....

And they all say canada's all bilingual. lol.

But anyways, very nice shot Motts, I agree with most of the previous comments.
i like it, it seems to have that open feild in the middle of the summerfeel
Aaah the lonely chair! love it!
is it possible for me to perhaps use this photo as art for my band, possibly as an album cover? our site is here

I see the island of Iwo Jima.
To the bottom is the ocean, a span of green island above that, and behind the chair, I can see the airfield, built in 1944 to allow B-29 bombers to make emergency landings and takeoffs.
OmG Raymond it totally is!!! Trippy!

I concur, sir.
definatly one of my favorites.
I love the green ;-)
Nice, truly a rare shot
gross! I would not want to breathe while near all that mold.
It seems almost fairytale like with the greenery about the chair. Like a woodland creature had sat there and left it's mark.
It knows who you are Motts :)
Haha.... It's just like the indoor / outdoor carpet people put on thier porches, but it's - ALIVE!!!
This is so cool !

I love this. It reminds me of the lobby at the Pines.
How lovely

Kick off your shoes
The moss matches the color on the wall. Wild shot!
more like...

The grass is much greener INSIDE!
I love the way the moss grew like that, amazing
gettin some yard time
I was thinking of Ireland for some reason--an aerial shot of an island with one HUGE chair as a god to be worshipped...

Ugh. I need my meds...
It looks like a grass mat for the chair, you know the kind that sit behind a desk?
