First thought was a ski lift.. I like the photo : )
Oh I love this. That's quite the monstrosity!
motts, is it true that they were going to salvage part of the building, or do I have my info wrong????
They seem to be salvaging what they can before demolition.
I hope they salvage those engines....Looks to be enough of them there to start production again!
Fwee!!! Hop on and take a ride! That woulda been fun, I'd have been tempted to do it if it was running! ; )
Barbara,
I always get that urge too - when I see something like this lol.... maybe next time i pick up my dry cleaning...... who knows... lol
I remember when I was little and seeing those things at the dry cleaner, I was ALWAYS thinking how I could sneak back there and how much fun it would be to catch a ride! lol
Tony C, what engines are you seeing?? There aren't any in this photo, or any other in this set.
Robots....beautiful
When I worked here in 1992, the stamping parts would ride on this track to get to the other buildings to fit on racks or do other work. I remember the miles of track clanking all day with Ford, GM, and Chrysler parts on them.
