Motts, did you go, or look into the tunnel? Was it empty? What a massive factory. I would love to see this place myself. As I have said before, too, I love the black & white shots. Great work, Motts!
Thanks, I didn't venture too close to the outside because there were people working right outside this building, but it looked empty.
Abandoned city, I tell you! I love your black and white shots, Motts!
Tony, "massive" is definitely the correct word here huh?
it looks like the light on the right side of the shot belongs to a train of some sort...like an old abandoned subway station
That is interesting in that it appears the overhead crane is still in place.
You're right, Mike. The gantry is still in place and the hook is just hanging there. Looks like there might be another room on the other side of that wall. Someone had to have some fun hanging all of that duct work.
looks like our old highbay furnace room at carpenter steel
It is too bad that this building is now a heap of rubble. Most of the old assembly buildings have been torn down.
this room i'd bet was shipping & receiving from rail cars with the crane they could move all the raw parts & bins as needed to the platforms for each assembly area this place was working (remember) b4 diesel trucks moved everything so i'd be willing to bet......awesome photos is it still there?
No, the place was demolished in 2006.
Perfectly unique. I love it.
Love the Old Pagoda Style High Roofs !
