Our 'kindred spirits' new club name?
Good name. I do have a comment on this photo. What appears to be footprints on the sign, seems to be fingerprints upon closer inspection.
Some folks should put down the bong for a few minutes before trying to type.
I wonder what "skewl" they go to.
"I wonder what "skewl" they go to."

The one with the short-bus, I'm thinking.
Serrena, darling....the educational system in this country scares the bejesus out of me.
All the intentional misspellings, you can bet that when I misspell something it's not on porpoise
Twug - You're telling me. I have an eleven year-old. I've seen our schools at work first hand. Although, I have a feeling our first poster was trying to look 'kewl' by typing in 13375p33k (translation: elitespeak). A sort of Hackerese bastardization / slang thing. When will they learn it doesn't make you look cool ... it makes you look like a moron?

Grifspop - Nope, all your misspellings are perfectly legitimate typos, Grifspop, and we luff ya for 'em. :-*
Thanx, Serrena
...but sometimes me writzie like 'dis.

(LOL)

Actually I did try typing once in 'kidspeak' (that's what I call it) I got all confused and tongue tied.(how can you get tongue tied on a keyboard?) I do know a couple adults that write like that. I also don't like the people who write in all lower case letters or all caps.

We all make a missteak (intentional) now and then.
What is the scale of this? If those are fingerprints, then it must be a lot smaller than it looks!
Heh, nah those are footprints.
I thought it was called l33t. (leet) Don't ask why. I'm fourteen years old and I find it really annoying.
Ah yes the wonderful education our children get at Kings Park High School (for those who dont know, KPHS is across the street from KPPC)
They're footprints, I saw the sign in person and I was like WTF? Did patients make it or some people? The material is pretty strong, but it seems to me like patients may have done this one. And no, we don't have the highest education at KPHS.
If I may interject a tad here. My nephew is 15. He and I were working on loading some files on his personal play station o n my PC at home. He emailed a friend with a question, and it was almost entirely spelled in that "kidspeak"...I asked him if he could use som dang punctuation, and spell correctly, and he said, "No way! He wouldn't respond, and everyone would make fun of me!" So, I guess it's also BAD to type using correct grammar and spelling....sad state we're in....saaaad....
I've been in alot of the buildings. 7.23,84,86,87,88 and 93. 84-88 are pretty rundown. 7 is nice considering it was a morgue, possibly haunted? haha
23 was simply INCREDIBLE. The bowling alley, basketball court, and swimming pool were all in amazing shape. It was also great walking thru there and thinking of all the past residents.
Sorry to tell you, there is no 84,86,87 or 88 at kppc.
Actually, KPHS is NOT across the street from KPPC, Provenzano's is. Welcome to Kings Park.
lets get our party on!!!!
what the hell's goin on?
Naked footprints... very appropriate for this setting. Normally the human footprints we find are shoe prints, unless on the beach or something.

It isn't difficult to imagine a scenerio in which the staff abandoned the place but left the patients behind to fend for themselves.

Thus you have half naked crazies wandering the halls while the place crumbles to ruins around them [assuming a few of them manage to survive unassisted that is].
Okay, I am only 18, and having "grown up" (although I can't confess that I'm an adult yet) with the "kidtalk", I can say that I even got confused with it. It's completely retarded and simply an example of generations getting lazier as humans progress.

It only takes half a muscle to hit a few extra keys, including the "shift" bar!

Although, maybe in their cases, we shouldn't encourage it.
The thought of walking through that place barefoot. Uggggg. lol
but tz so fun 2 tak lyk dis!!1!

Oh god, I'll kill myself if I type like that again. xD Ahahah...
I agree with every subsequent post here regarding the first. The only time I've ever found myself typing that way is when I'm joking around. Those who seriously write like that all the time kill me, its nearly impossible to read!
The shot itself, is really cool...those do really look like giant fingerprints
I grew up in KP and KPHS is across route 25A roughly on the south side the KPPC property, if you were to walk south from Building 7 you would come out somewhere near the high school. On the north side much closer to KPPC is the middle school (closer to 93 if memory serves me right). What was crazy about that is a couple of times when I was in school there and KPPC was still open crazies from there came over and into the school. They were quickly picked up and escorted back here they belong. No one dangerous just the day treatment people I think.
I wonder if this was anything like studio 54?
yeah instead of cocaine they did thorazine...
